this was my first ever vacation to another country and what a trip;.. the hotel was magnificent the people were tripping over themselves trying to please everyone and the cleanest place i ever seen. the food was very good the entertainment was wonderfull. the maids were extreamly trustworthy and pleasant. the beach was imaculate and there was plenty of things for the children although we didnt have any. i would highly recoment this hotel to anyone and i would certainly stay there again. we met some wonderfull people there and had a wonderful stay.. do go to brias del caribe if you can...

This was our second time staying here. We enjoyed it, but not as much as the first time. We went with two other couples. We enjoyed the time with the bartenders and waitresses that remembered us from last year. We had one of the bartenders get his wife and child and joined us on his one and only day off, on the beach for the afternoon.

We found that the "animacion" team does not likes us anymore, because we figured out all their women, and games they play with different tourists. They knew we knew! And they knew we were entertained by them. Girls/women, don't be so stupid, we heard so many stories of how many times they were engaged or married to Canadians, and it didn't work out!

A few things, our bed sheets weren't changed from the people before us, and we had to rip them off the bed and ensure they were changed from that point on. We brought our own beach towels, so no problems there....They use too much booze in their drinks, you have to specify "little". The taxis are cheap and fair. The hotel staff are all looking to hustle....we watched so many tourists get hustled, and we hustled a few of the staff ourselves! They are great though.

If we went back to Cuba, I would probably stay at a different hotel just to compare! We do love the Brisas though. The food isn't that good. Except, we had turkey two days in a row this time. The food has no flavour and is either deep fried or not cooked! They have great fruit and vegetables sometimes. And their bread/buns are to die for! As for the town, it's very safe! Taking pictures of houses or schoolchildren cna make you pay, we had to walk to a grocery store to get the kids chocolates/treats, so be careful because it's expensive. Swim with the dolphins....I heard is amazing (I couldn't go because I couldn't walk). AND...NEVER....NEVER....NEVER go horseback riding on the beach for 15 pesos......IT's NOT SAFE!

Next year we'll go somewhere different! But Brisas is beautiful, and accomodating if you have problems or concerns!

Women beware....AIDS is on the rise in Cuba, and that's a fact that nobody talks about! Remember where you are, and if you can't get a man at home, your vacation man is only a fantasy!....with a disease!

Me and 5 friends just returned home from a week at the Brisas on Jan 29th. It was paradise. Never a dull moment there. From the minute you wake up until your head hits the pillow there is always something going on.
We woke up to the entertainer guys by the pool playing music and games with all the guests....
The food was pretty good especially the El Le Carte dinners.
The staff is sooooo friendly as well as all guests. We are all there for the same reason to relax and have a good time.
The staff is always wanting to make sure you are happy. They put on shows nightly, very funny.
The beach.....WOW, just gorgerous. It did get a little windy a few days by the beach but then we just went to the pool and relaxed.
Our rooms were all very clean with nice animals and shapes made every day out of the towels.
24 hr drinks and food, hot weather, awesome music, no work....what more could one ask for?
I am already planning my next trip back to the Brisas. I loved it.

My husband and I and our son who is 7 Just got back Jan 26.I have to say I was very nervous about the resort after the reveiws I read.But apon arrival was very pleased.Yes the resort is an older one but very well kept,the gardens are very lush,and you always see people working.
The rooms were nice nothing extravagent but very very clean,no bugs,and a very beautiful balcony(we were in the north end right beside the lobby,so therfor very close to everything)
The pools are great and very clean,the beach one of the best lots of huts and lots of chairs.
The food was well you know Cuba food,but we always found something to eat(24hr grill the best)
The people that work there our maid Jackline the most freindly people (whether you tip or not)they can not do enough for you.
The beer Cristal great,the pina coladas great,Mojitos always around but did not care for them.
The lobby was the best very large very nice place to sit and mingel.
On the first day there my son asked if we could move there.
We all had a great time,I would reccomend this resort and make the most of your holiday.We meet so many great new freinds.
