Hotel Versalles is located in the south of Santiago de Cuba City, few meters from the historical center of the city and in a high point known as Alturas de Versalles, with view of the city with its steep streets.
Hotel services: Pool also available for children. There is a la carte as well as a buffet restaurant, a night club, a cafeteria, a Lobby bar and Snack bar under the distinctive Cuban features. Tour and Travel bureau, money exchange, taxi, car rent and shop. The rooms are equipped with: a en suite bathroom with a hairdryer, a minibar, a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV, a radio, a hire safe, a double bed and a balcony or terrace. Individually controlled A/C. Excellent service that offer it is the result of the hard work of the staff members, who make the hotel unique in all the aspect.
It is the best choice to have a relax and great holiday in Santiago de Cuba.

The Hotel Versalles is a lovely place to stay in Santiago. The staff in the hotel are very friendly and willing to help. There is a nice pool, and the restaurant has decent food. It is outside of the main city itself but still very close, and easily accessible by taxi. Well worth a visit.

Hotel Versalles is great hotel with awesome staff. When you consider it was built in the 60s and up keep is always going. It is a $10.00 cab ride from airport, $3 to Parque Cespedes. Food is great remember your in cuba. If you would like more info about this hotel email Steve at reservas@hotelversalles.co.cu thanks everyone

Room Tip: well worth to upgrade to cabanas

Located slightly outside town the hotel has rooms located around the grounds with easy access to the pool and main buildings. Service good and helpful. Food quite acceptable and staff did best to meet specific needs. Dining room hot and stuffy so best to breakfast outside

Room Tip: Best in top room of chalets

We stayed here two nights. The room and bathroom is rather basic. Many mosquitos. Pleasant attached terrace. Food in the restaurant is bad. You can dine outside, al fresco, with a lovely view of the lights of the city - as the hotel is located on a hill (but far away from town).

It was amazing to come back to this hotel after 4 years and few months and see what I saw. It was June 27 for 3 nights and then August 23 , 2013 in the way back from a Cuban trip , and nothing to do with what I had before. Both clean, pool & room and young-improving staff including their "always smiling" young female manager, the public relation lady and their entire staff. Still lack of variety at the restaurant either at lunch or supper but the taste of the food and their workers' contagious generosity and kindness make you forget a couple of things. Learning how to do more with less might be the rule. Not agree but ... worked! I had to make sure I leave earlier for down-town because their every-night live-entertainment(even a little too loud) makes you stay all night long. They had wonderful shows and you're enjoy it surrounded by Cubans customers like you're in the city already. Too bad they don't apparently have more support, supplies and care from whoever runs this place on top. It is a wonderful hotel with an amazing location and you can "smell" the spirit of improvement, compares to others I've been in. I'll be back, as some star movie says? :)

Room Tip: Have 200 block rooms building or just a cottage far behind the pool. More quiet at night. Call a reg...

Perhaps we were fortunate that in our first room the safe fell off the wall and almost landed on my husband's foot, as this meant we were upgraded to one of the 2-storey buildings across the road overlooking the pool. Our new room was by far the largest we had in Cuba, was spotlessly clean and seemed quite new. The wardrobe had plenty of hangers, there was space around the sink to leave washbags and all the facilities worked. We had a fantastic view of Santiago (and the hotel pool) from our balcony, which was also large and had comfortable chairs and a table. The pool was huge and uncrowded, and although there was the inevitable ear-splitting noise this did stop around 6pm. Dinner and breakfast were buffet style and although by no means fine dining there was plenty of choice. The hotel was located on a hill outside Santiago which meant the air was fresher. I would have been happy to stay longer in this hotel and would rate this the best of the government-run ones we stayed in.

Room Tip: Rooms in 2-storey blocks opposite the pool are good.
