“Nice Museum”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2012

I originally thought it was a rum museum but not. Lots of historical artifacts and beautiful arts of work. Worth taking the time to explore. Highly recommended.

“You would better to make this visit in Havana at Havana Club Museum”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2012

Santiago was the beginning of our 15 days holiday in Cuba, the name of Bacardi attracted us for a visit (actually moved to Porto Rico after the revolution)

The museum is too simple and you can not learn many things about this world famous production of Cuba. I would recommend you to wait Havana for the museum of the rom "Havana Club"

“Interesting - Glad We Went.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2011

The last time we walked up those steps of the Emilio Bacardi Museum was in 1999 but we only checked it out – didn’t go through it. This year we said what the heck….it was hot and sunny and we had time to burn so decided finally to tour the Museum. It cost 2 CUC’s each plus 1 CUC to take pictures…..(total of 5 CUC’s for the 2 of us) Was given the impression that I was only allowed to take pictures of certain things……so I didn’t take any pictures of the artifacts……just the different busts, statues and a few paintings.
The main floor had rifles, pistols, antique daggers and personal effects and uniforms of leading figures and heroes. There was an array of artifacts including slave shackles, etc…. The second floor was the art gallery along with bronze sculptures. In the basement there were some mummies and a shrunken head, etc….
We found the staff there quite helpful and if we had a question…..just had to ask one of the ladies that was at hand. Even directed us to the basement. And the ladies in the upstairs gallery even asked us if we needed any help. Our experience here was very positive and interesting and we were glad that after so many years we finally decided to tour this museum.
