“It's alright”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2013

I like the atmosphere here, the service is good. the food is ok, as one would expect in Cuba. I've ate the pasta here, my husband ate the lasagna. Dino's pizza has far better lasagna. The bruschetta bread was a piece of soggy toast with tomato sauce and sprinkled with some dried herbs. Prices are good

“A really good pizza”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2013

They do a really good pizza, by any standards, and the prices are very low. the restaurant is clean and pleasantly decorated and furnished. What's not to like?

TIP: the front door is kept locked even when the restaurant is open - rattle it a bit and wait to be let in - it's worth it.

“Nice Restaurant and Great Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

Been to Isabela several times and was never disappointed.
It is located very close to the Plaza de los Trabajadores, which is nice for a little digestive walk after dinner.
The prices are very low and the quality of the food is high.
Large pizzas with a thin crust-just the way I like it.
Surprisingly the filet steak is also from the best quality and cooked to your liking.Make sure to tell the waitress that you like it blue, rare or medium rare, otherwise you get it cooked well done, like most Cubans like to eat their beef.
The restaurant can sometimes be quite loud, when the Italian tourists come, which is quite humorous when the Cuban clientel tells them to be quiet.
A dinner for four at La Isabela can be as low as 16 CUC and as high as 35 CUC.

“Lifesaver. Well not quite, but you know what I mean.......”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2012

If (like me) you`re in Cuba and can`t face another meal of beef, rice and beans, in fact you`re actually a bit hungry because you`ve had more then enough of the typical local fare, then take a detour, in fact crawl here if you have to.
Don`t get me wrong, in the UK I`d just be reasonably happy with the food (we had pizza), but compared to most of the other meals we had in Cuba, particularly away from Havana or Varadero, it was like heaven.
The service was a bit slow and for Cuba the place is quite expensive, but that`s relative, the meal of 2 beers, 3 lemonades and 3 pizzas we had (yes 3 between the 2 of us, I was that hungry.....) was 20CUCs which was about £14 at the time.
Would I go back to La Isabela`s if I were to find myself in Camaguey ?
Don`t ask stupid questions......
