Location:
La Casa de Ana Y Pepe is ideally located in the Vedado district, which is one of the best neighbourhoods in Habana. This is an ideal location to relax after a long day of sight-seeing or a night out salsa dancing. Ana and Pepe's Casa is a short distance to the Malecon, a 5 minute taxi ride to Central Habana and a 10 minute ride to Old Habana.

Service:
I can not say enough about the service that I received at La Casa de Ana Y Pepe. Both Ana and Pepe went out of their way at all times to make sure that I was safe, comfortable and having fun. Not only did Pepe pick me up from the airport but when I left to go to Varadero he took me to the bus stop and made sure I got on the bus. How sweet! Similarly, upon my re-arrival to Habana from Varadero, Ana's newphew, Anthony, picked me up from the bus station and droped me off at the Habana airport.

Every morning I would wake up to a huge breakfast. Ana would go to the market every morning to make sure that I had a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables for breakfast. At my request, Ana and Pepe would also prepare dinner for me.

The cleanliness of this Casa is like no other. Better than any hotel I have ever been to. Every time I returned from a lond day of sight-seeing I would come to see my room spotless. Beyond expectation.

Habana:
What can I say about this city except WOW! I love Habana. It has become like my second home. It is one of the most beautiful cities I have ever seen. Rich with culture and a must see!!! This trip was my fifth to Cuba. I will be returning in May for a month and staying with Ana and Pepe again, as they feel like family to me.

Ana y Pepe:
If you are reading this review I would like to say thank you so much for taking such excellent care of me during my stay in Habana. Muchas gracias por todo. No peudo esperar verlos otra vez. Por favor, dice hola a tus familia. Mucho besos y abrazos.

My brother and I went to Cuba to make a trip there. Our first place to stay was La Casa de Ana. It's not far from Havana centre and it has very clean and spacious rooms. Very nice breakfast too.
It was really nice to see how friendly and helpfull Ana and Pepe were. They helped us organise our trip through Cuba, with lots of helpful tips. I can really recommend this place!

If you're looking for a budget room in the heart of Havana, then Casa Da Ania is for you! In a great residential location, only a 10 minute taxi ride from the city centre or a half hour walk along the malecon, it is clean, affordable and run by a lovely family who will go out of their way to make your stay as comortable and enjoyable as they can.

We stayed in the house of Ana y Pepe for 3 nights, and we had a lovely time. The house was clean, it was a quiet neighbourhood, and our hosts were very helpeful! They helped us finding casas particulares in other cities we were visiting, and also renting a car. Pepe even met us at the airport, and that was really nice after a long journey from Norway. We will highly recomand others to stay here! Ana y Pepe can give you answers to your questions about Cuba, and they will make you feel like home.

We booked our room at Ana and Pepe's by email - very quick and easy. Ana even emailed us a few tips which weren't in the guidebooks as to what to bring / what not to bring....

When we touched down at Habana airport, Pepe kindly picked us up (having waited an hour or two for us to clear customs, which is an experience in itself) and took us to a bureau de change which was hidden away and so the queues were very quick.

For the first few days we stayed at some friends of Ana's as her place was (not surprisingly) full. However, they were 30 seconds walk and we popped over to Ana's for a quick coffee and chat as well as to use the internet, which is quite hard to find in Cuba, so its a real bonus to have such easy access.

We travelled to a few places outside Habama and the houses that we stayed at as recommended by Pepe and Ana were always a pleasure - tasty food in huge portions, friendly owners and often some beautiful buildings themselves. Plus we knew that we were guaranteed a room and so did not have to pay a local tout to find us a room.

If you do decide that you want to get out of Habana for a few days, Pepe and Ana can sort out accomodation, reserve bus tickets, organise transfers, sort out a good tailored itinerary for you, etc.

When we returned from a few trips outside of Habana, we stayed at Ana's - again, Ana and Pepe are super helpful, speak good English and keep a very clean house. Their place is minutes from a market and exchange bureau, a few places to eat, a good nightclub and minutes from the sea.

Their place is in the Vedado district, which is 10 or so minutes by taxi from Central and Old Habana but then again, you don't want to stay in Central or Old Habana as it can get a bit "trickier" at night. Anyway - its simple enough to get into town - you will need a taxi but they're quite easy to find and often the taxi will find you!

I asked Pepe if it would be possible to hire a bike off someone and a few hours later I had my own set of wheels to whisk me around. Nothing is ever too much of a problem for Ana and Pepe!

Have a great time in cuba!

Anton
