Ana and Pepe are the most warm, wonderful and devoted hosts. They are a Cuban national treasure! They worked non-stop to ensure that our stay in Havana was the greatest, always going the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed. (People even came from other casas for Ana & Pepe’s expertise and assistance in arranging other travel and outings.) Ana & Pepe's home in lovely, leafy Vedado is meticulously clean, comfortable, well-stocked, and most of all, always a welcoming haven for their guests and a refreshing escape from the busier corners of Havana Vieja. Pepe provided an excellent tour of Havana (including the Museo de Chocolate and the best cigars in Havana!). Ana is an amazing cook, and put together excellent meals for her guests, despite her very busy schedule. Tony helped us in many ways, including with some great coffee! Further point of interest: Ana’s daughter Alina is a photographer, so ask Ana or Pepe to see her work. Alina’s photos capture all the beauty and contradiction of Havana’s people and its cityscapes, with humour, hope and compassion. Her photos make a truly marvelous souvenir of this incredible city. Make sure you stay at the Casa de Ana while in Havana - it will make your trip to Havana a very memorable one.
