We were lucky to be able to spend four nights in Casa de Ana in February 2008. Although the house is situated some way from the sights of old Havana, we really enjoyed staying in Vedado. Our hosts - Ana and Pepe - were invaluable in assisting us in planning and organising the rest of our travels in Cuba. The casa is secure, comfortable and quiet, and we were made to feel at home.

...which is saying something given how lovely the Cuban people are.

Following a recomendation from a friend I stayed at Casa de Ana whilst in Havana and it was brilliant. The house was very clean, the food good and moreover Ana and her husband Pepe were incredibly nice and helpful recommending some lovely places to see in Cuba, arranging excellant / well proced accomadation for wherever I stayed and generally being superstars.

Pepe even kindly took me out to an offical Cigar Shop in Havana when I asked him where a good one was.

I throughly recommend that if you want to go to Cuba and you want to stay in a Casa Particulares then definetly drop these guys a line; they are great.

I strongly recommend the place of Ana and Pepe. Although we didn't stay there, only for breakfast. But for the organization and all our practical things we could count on them. They are very professional, the kind of people you want to have around you when visiting a country like Cuba.

Unfortunately we were not able to stay with Ana - fully booked - so there is the first lesson! However, Ana and Pepe still took us under their wing and arranged for us to stay in a nearby Casas at the beginning and end of our holiday. These two will do anything for you. They are the kind of people everyone should have as friends - they just make life so much nicer. The atmosphere at Ana's is happy, relaxed, friendly and fun. Book, go, enjoy.
