My boyfriend and I just returned from a stay with Ana and Pepe. Even before we arrived, Ana took care of us. She answered questions and was available via email at all times and her answers were promt. Ana and Pepe welcomed us into their home like family. They were very helpful with things to do in Cuba, where to eat, nightlife, day trips from Havana. Their English is great. We had a wonderful experience. Highly recommended.

While improving my spanish knowledge in Havanna, Cuba I stayed at the casa of Ana and Pepe! This casa was recommended to me by a friend and I was no disappointed at all. I enjoyed my two weeks there very much! It was like being at home. Ana and Pepe helped me a lot to get by !!!

Not only their nice attitude but I really liked my room too and the breakfast I got there every morning! And of course their Mojito. :)

The casa is at a safe area and is close to everything that is to be seen in Havanna! I walked a lot even at night and did not have bad feelings around.

Good price, good accomodation! Great place to stay when one is in Habana!

I chose to stay at Ana y Pepe's place based on reviews I found on the internet. My husband and I were not disappointed. It was a most wonderful experience and we truly felt like we were treated like family!

Both Ana and Pepe are wonderfully and genuinely warm hosts. Pepe met us at the airport which was great (he had to wait for our delayed flight but he was fine about it). Our room was huge and spotelessly clean. We didn't use the AC because the weather was cool enough for us and the fan was sufficient. The fridge was full of all sorts of cool drinks. Our room was cleaned daily, with fresh towels and sheets every few days. Better service than in some 'top class' hotels we've stayed at. Having access to the internet was a bonus too.

While the Casa is away from most tourist spots, it was no problem as it was only a short and cheap ride by taxi to those places. Being at the end of a street was definitely a bonus as it was much quieter. We also found it very safe to walk around if you didn't feel like taking a taxi.

Pepe was so helpful in organising taxis, finding us private car hires,
making numerous calls etc. Nothing was ever any trouble for either him
or Ana. We had a wonderfully cooked dinner one evening. And I am so grateful for Ana's delicious mashed potato which she prepared for me once I recovered from being under the weather one day.

It was very hard to say goodbye to Ana and Pepe when we left after spending 6 nights at their place. We hope we see them again sometime.
We would highly recommend staying at Ana and Pepe's to anyone planning
a trip to Havana.

Ana and Pepe, thank you again so much!

La Casa de Ana was the perfect place to stay in Havana; located in the lovely area of El Vedado (a short taxi ride from Old Havana). Everything about the casa was fantastic, especially hosts Ana & Pepe. They were incredibly welcoming and were a wealth of information about both Havana and Cuba in general. Ana & Pepe were always willing to help, whether it was sorting out onward bus tickets and accommodation in other areas of Cuba, or helping us translate from English to Spanish in order to buy a painting!! Their service certainly went above-and-beyond what we expected and was very much appreciated.

Ana y Pepe, muchas gracias para todo

I would recommend this casa to anyone travelling to Havana. From the warm welcome at the airport ( Pepe had to wait 2 hours) we knew we were in good hands. My friend and I were quickly adopted by Ana & Pepe. Their casa in is a quiet & safe area, a short taxi ride from the centre, in my opinion it is better to stay out of the city centre.

The casa is clean, comfortable, secure with AC and fridges in the rooms, internet ( a bonus in Cuba) and TV in the main room and a nice patio. It is located in a friendly neighbourhood where you can safely wander about. Breakfast will set you up for the day, fresh fruit, eggs whatever way you want them etc. You can request a tasty dinner, Ana is very accommodating with awarkard eaters ( veggie food can be difficult in Cuba) and makes great mashed potatoes ! They both speak v good English, a great help to those with barely a word of Spanish. From the start we were told it was our house and were encouraged to relax and chat about our day to our hosts and other guests or just chill in front of the TV. We actually slept at a close neighbours casa as Ana's was full but ate, etc at Ana's- this just meant we meet more Cuban people and were further cosseted by the always smiling Susanna.

We had nothing organised before arrival but Pepe helped us organise flights, buses, tours, taxis and shows. Nothing was too much trouble and he even accompanied us to booking offices ensure that everything was ok. We had intended to take a tour of Havana but hate large organised tours where you struggle to hear the guide and keep up with the group so Pepe's personalised tour was fantastic for us and his indepth knowledge a bonus. I would advise doing this the morning you arrive as it orientates you with the city.

We travelled outside Havana and Pepe organised casa's at each location and had the owners come and meet us, this means that you don't have to deal with touts or taking out your map and trying to figure out where to go in a new town. Our 2nd favourite casa owner Keca even meet us at 6.45 am !!!!

Whilst we were there previous guests called in for a visit and a drink - always a good sign ! I would happily recommend this casa to my friends and family and hope to return in the future.
