The hotel is located a few blocks from the Malecon in Vedado. We had a room in the main building and the room was nice and clean. We were told that the hotel has only 2 rooms that don't have single beds!
The shower was hot and had enough pressure. The maids were kind, but some of our aspirin pills were missing at the end of our stay.
The Breakfast was good. Every night there was live music in the lobby, but the bar was overpriced. They charged me 3.50 CUC for a Mojito.

  • Liked — The shower was good and the room was clean.
  • Disliked — Aspirin pills were missing at the end of our stay.

We got moved here by our Tour Operator at the end of a 2 week tour, but it totally failed to live up to the standard we had expected.
The rooms were small, dank and in total need of renovation. My room had a hole in the wall to the outside, so I requested a change of room, The reception staff were surly and totally dis-interested in the guests. I did eventually get a changed room. The lift had broke down and there were no lights in the stairwell. A thorously unpleasent hotel, I wouldn't recommend here to anyone.

This hotel is well located but is dirty. Only stayed one night at the end of a three week trip to Cuba. Bathroom was filthy and there were hairs already in the shower. Stairwell was not lit and was a hazard as the lift did not work. Breakfast was terrible,. My advice DO NOT STAY HERE.

Well i honestly don't understand why everyone is being so harsh on the hotel.....it's not the best...but it's damn good for it's price! I stayed there for 11 days and i have to say i had a great time!!! The location of the hotel is fantastic, right next to the malecon, a 2 minute walk to the nacional (to have drinks on the sea front), a short walk from the university and the market.....surrounded by clubs! If you're looking for a quiet unadventurous holiday, then don't go to Havana full stop!!
The staff i found were quite nice, talkative and warm (like most cubans), we had one or two mishaps but other than that our stay was great!!!
The pool is actually quite cold....which is a good thing when there is extreme heat!!!! I thought the bar was fantastic.....the guy working there was lovely, and they have football on!!! I watched the champions league matches while i was there and made many international footy fan friends too!!
The atmosphere of the hotel in general is great!! The lobby is always buzzing, and you get this great guy playing the guitar in the evening, who is just lovely!!!
The rooms aren't too bad!!! We got a balcony so it was aright, but try to get a room in the main part of the hotel.....you must expect rusty things everywhere in Cuba courtesy of the embargo! And the maids make little swans out of towels and put them on your bed every day!!!!
All in all i thought it was a nice place, the atmosphere is the best thing about it, along with the location!!!!

We arrive at the hotel about 2 am after a very long fly. We are a couple with a child but when we enter the room there was only 2 VERY SMALL beds. I went to the front desk to ask for a room change but the people was VERY rude. They said that the hotel was full and there was nothing to do. So i asked at least a mattress but again they dont have a mattress !!! a hotel without a mattress !!!. So we have to sleep the 3 of us in the 2 very SMALL beds. The next day our travel agent call the hotel ... and suddenly there was a 3 people empty room. The rest ... we have to beg for Toilet paper, the breakfast was a joke ... some day we cant find milk ... the pool was dirty, all the staff was very rude. The last day our transportation to the airport didnt arrived and and we were about to lose the flight. I went to the front desk to change some money to take a taxi ... but they didnt want to change the money because they where having lunch ..

Really this is is the worst hotel they've been in my life ... DO NOT GO !!!!!
