“BEST DAIQUIRI IN TOWN”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2013

We were staying at Casa Vieja 1840 (casavieja1840.com) and the owner Karen send us to la Onda which is located just of the Plaza de las palomas and just a few blocks away from the hostal. It is one of havana's best colonial styled tapasbars (with definitely the widest range of wines in the city), the atmosphere is very cosy with its traditional wooden ceilings, old terra cotta tiled floors and beautiful inner courtyard surrounded by light blue balconies. The waiters are super friendly and prices are more than reasonable. Its a bit hidden so you won't find too many tourists or big crowds. Are you a Daiquiri lover? Ask for Yanai to make you one, she definitely makes the best Daiquiri in town.

“Bodegon Onda for tapas lunch & wine selection”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2013

This is the first review of Bodegon Onda on Tripadvisor. It deserves a good rating, located two blocks north of Plaza de San Francisco in Calle Obrapia # 53. One of the best wine selections in Old Havana! I wish we found this place before our last day in Havana. We too made the mistake of spending too much time around the tourist traps around Calle Obispo.

Our quick stop for lunch ended up in a nice tapas plate with 7 different ingredients.
Reasonable too; nice tapas plate for three persons for CUC 10.
The steak menu looked good with steaks up to 600 grams, your choice!

It seems like Bodeson Onda is part of Hotel Comendador:
