Nice hotel and relatively good value for money. It is not NH Parque Central, but it is not the opposite either. The rooms are acceptably clean and spacious. Ok, you will find stains on the bedsheets but they are not dirty, it's probably that they haven't come off with washing. There is not a wide selection of food for breakfast, but it's adequate plus they can cook omelettes of your choice. The air conditioning in the breakfast area is not adequate, coming out of the restaurant we smelled like fried eggs! Something we didn't particularly like was that during our time there they were in a fumigation process and although we were assured we could go upstairs in the rooms, we suddenly couldn't breathe and saw insects in the room. I think that this was a special case and fumigation doesn't take place all the time in the hotel, this was not pleasant for us but this is not the rule either. Also, ignore the door guy who will try to sell you cigars or send you to a nearby restaurant.

But, to be fair, we were particularly impressed that although our group mate forgot two expensive mobile telephones in the room when we were leaving, these didn't "mysteriously" disappear but they were given by the maid to the lost items dept and they were returned to the guy. Something that is definitely a plus of the hotel is the good prices of the bar and its location -practically two minutes walk from anywhere in the old havana. I would recommend it to anyone because the pros of this hotel are more than the cons, i'm just writing both so i'm fair, but it's definitely worth it spending a few nights there next time you're in havana vieja.
