My favourite thing about this square was the new sculpture, placed in May 2012 - Etienne's 'La Conversacion'.
Also can see Fuente de los Leones here, a white marble fountain (although a little grubby looking!).
The ferry terminal is across from the square and the Havana Club museum is closeby (excellent!). Some nice buildings.
Lots of taxis and horse-drawn carriages here so it's an ideal spot if you're looking to travel somewhere else.
Be wary of young male "Danny Picasso" pouncing on tourists with drawings "for the church" and insisting you take them then looking for 5 convertibles each.
