Stayed at the Florida for 3 days in May as part of our honeymoon.
Hotel is a lovely restored colonial building right in the centre of the old town. The rooms were comfortable with air con, table and chairs, large wardrobe (inc safe), big bathroom and balcony. The chambermaids did a great job and left us some lovely towel sculptures in the room.
Breakfast was included with our stay and included pastries, bread, cheese, meat, fruit as well as a bacon, eggs etc. Obviously with this being Cuba its not up to UK standards but it was prefectly edible.
Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Our taxi didn't turn up on the last day and they couldn't do enough to help.
This hotel is not as well equiped as some of the large hotels but the location and the old building was what did it for us. There was a bit of noise due to its location but we didn't find this a problem at all.
Havana as a whole is excellent just to wander around. We did the open top bus tour from the harbour as this is a good overview of the city. The Museum of the Revolution is interesting and a good way to escape the heat for an hour. Don't go to Havana for shopping or amazing food (you won't go hungry though) but the people are very friendly and the place is fascinating.
