We have just got back from a week in Havana staying at the Park Central. Generally a very good experience - great room, good food (a lot of people have mentioned the breakfast but we also had dinner one night and this was excellent), good service and friendly staff.
The only gripe we have was that the pool closed for maintenance 2 days after we arrived! One of the reasons we booked the hotel in the first place was the central location and the knowledge that we could relax and cool off on the roof terrace after a day exploring the city.
Clearly maintenance needs to be carried out but a closure of this length ( 1 week) should be notified to potential guests beforehand - not through a note in the lifts the day before it happens!
I would stay here again but this did take the edge off what was otherwise a great trip.
