We just returned from Cuba and stayed our first three nights at NH Parque. We were with another couple and all of us found that the hotel was wonderful. The rooms were very clean and well decorated. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. We do not have any negative things to say about this hotel. We had read that it did not have a cuban feel, but I disagree. Besides, you get the cuban feel after being out all day in the streets of Havana. It was nice to come back to a place that felt just a little like home. We travelled to Vinales and Trinidad and got enough of the real cuba to know that NH was a great place to return to. The pool is spectacular and the staff was more than attentive. The food in the buffet was probably the best we had in Cuba. I would definately recommend and also return to this hotel in a heartbeat.

Stayed here in February. Hotel is nothing special and lacks authenticy, nothing Cuban about it, you might as well be in London. Had problems when paying as receptionist did not speak sufficient english and tried to apply wrong rates. Not sure if this is regular, but also had problems with drunken Russians (at 1 pm in afternoon) bothering other guests. Appears to be overrated.

We have just come back from a 3-night stay at the NH Parque Central. The location is fantastic and the hotel is of very high standard. The staff in the lobby bar and the Mediterranean restaurant are good, however not always very friendly or smiley. If you go to the Parque Central after staying in Varadero or Guardalavaca, it might seem a bit of a shock.

The view from the rooftop is fantastic and the staff at the grill restaurant are really nice and friendly.

Breakfast is also very good, however avoid going down at 8am as it can be difficult to get a table. Go earlier or later.

The location is also ideal, a few minutes away from old Havana, right across the capitol and behind the Revolution Square.
I would recommend this hotel for a short stay in Havana!

I stayed at the Parque Central, with my sister, for 3 nights in December 2006. We we're so impressed that we arranged to come back from Varadero a day early so that we could spend our final night in Cuba at the Parque Central.

The rooms are clean and spacious, if you can request a front facing room as the views are breathtaking. The housekeeping staff are very thorough so the rooms and bathrooms are kept spotless.

The breakfast was amazing and we were spoilt for choice. We didnt get to eat at the other restaurants as we didnt get time.

The views from the roof top pool are amazing and it is definately one of the hotels' best features. Another is the location, most of the local sights are within walking distance.

The staff were always smiling and happy to help, especially Lazarro on the door.

I have read on other reviews that some people mentioned security issues with leaving their luggage stored at the hotel, but we had no issues with leaving our luggage there.

I would highly recommend this hotel; my sister and I will be returning there on our next trip to Cuba
