The only place to stay in Havana ... It's a very well run 5 star hotel. Food is probably better than any restaurant you'll visit. Rooms are lovely and spacious, lobby bar is great fun. The pool is wonderful. All the staff look after you extremely well. I had a wonderful 10 days there (8 of which were meant to be in Varadeo but we hated it and came back to Havana)
It's simply a great hotel and well worth a visit.

We stayed at Parque Central for three nights in October 2008. We found the hotel to be very well placed for visiting Old Habana. Our room was spacious, well decorated and serviced with style. The view from our room was an added bonus.
The breakfast buffet was generous and well presented. Dinner in the evening was rather less exciting but we were serenaded by a violinist of some skill which, in part, made up for the slightly dreary food.
The rooftop pool was a great escape from the heat of the day.
All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would be happy to recommend Parque Central to our friends.

The location of this hotel was excellent for exploring old Havana, so close to everything including very good restaurants and bars. An excllent base to make your way around the city exploring by foot!
The pool on the roof was an absolute god send...some respite from the soaring heat in July. The pool area itself was constantly busy but that didn't matter as we were not looking to lay out it was just the fact of being able to jump into the pool to refresh yourself!
Breakfast in this hotel was among some of the finest I have EVER had, rest of the food was fine also. Drinks were most definately overpriced.
Our room itself was huge, a great size, and the air conditioning was excellent - kept the room so lovely and chilled. However the decor is dated, and needs a revamp...new carpets etc.

We stayed at the Parque Central 8 October for 3 nights and can recommend this hotel for it's excellent location and facilities. The staff are very friendly and efficient, the room was large and spacious with all amenities, the hotel has a lovely rooftop swimming pool and bar/restaurant with views over the city. It was handy to be able to change money in the hotel. The location next to Old Havana was great. The cocktails were great too but the food wasn't the best but perfectly acceptable (Paladar's are the best-we tried Paladar Vistamar which was very good). Breakfast buffet however has everything you could wish for and was very good. The hotel was perfectly located for exploring Havana and perfect for our first visit/introduction to Cuba.
