I was initially disappointed I ended up here rather than the hotel I was booked into, the Hotel Sevilla, which looked much more attractive and atmospheric - but failed its fire test a couple of days before my arrival. But I was perfectly happy here for a week - an air-conditioned refuge from the heat, humidity and bustle of the streets outside. Food was no more than so so (didn't try the expensive restaurant), but everything worked fine, rooms were clean, the staff were cheerful and efficient - pretty much everything you want from a hotel, except the aforementioned atmosphere, which is a hard commodity to assess anyway. I'd happily stay there again.

this hotel is fabulous.
I don't understand people who say "compared to european hotels" or "for cuba it was great" - the hotel is fantastic and would be fantastic no matter what country you are in.

It is absolutely spotless, rooms and bathrooms are modern, spotless and very comfortable - huge beds, mini bar, tv, safe, balcony, airconditioning, There is no iron, but the staff will collect your clothes and will iron them for you.

breakfast is amazing - choices for everyone - the omelette man is an expert at what he does - the breakfast staff are efficient and friendly.

the lobby is a great place to watch people coming and going. The guys at the bar, especially denis and yescher and the tall fair haired guy are so friendly and warm - we loved sitting having a drink and having a laugh with them.

We didn't actually have dinner in the restaurant but people we met said it was excellent - we did try the hamburger - 11 pesos - it was absolutely delicious.

The hotel is in the perfect location to explore Havana and I haven't a bad word to say about the place. Everything about this hotel is great and you would have to look very very hard to find fault with it.

Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights before going to Varadero. Really nice, very clean hotel. Friendly helpful staff.Good sized room. Not a great view but did not matter as we were not in the room very much. Superb selection at breakfast, including champagne.We did not eat in the restaurants at night but had bar snacks which were good.
The rooftop bar & pool were great,we did share this with the Virgin aircrew but not a problem. Fantastic views.
Good location for touring.Just a word of warning though when you are out & about.We were ripped off but on reflection it was our own fault.Beware the couples who want to be your friends & show you the sights!
Overall,could not fault this lovely hotel.

Parque Central is very nice based on Cuba standards. The hotel was clean and the service was very good. We had a nice balcony suite overlooking the park. Old beds, but clean linens so okay.

The morning buffet breakfast was excellent. We had dinner at the hotel which was very mediocre.

Overall, very satisfactory experience. Would definitely recommend again, which I already have!
