We arrived at the Comodoro fairly late at night after what seemed like forever on the bus! The hotel is very imposing and looks very grand. We checked in easily and were shown to our room which was a bungalow (on the 2nd floor!!)
The room was fine, basic but had a separate sitting area and kitchen. The kitchen area was a little icky and I would not liked to have cooked in it – we only used the fridge to keep the water cool! The beds were comfy and my husband was happy as there was 2 TV’s!! (Easily pleased!!)
As it was late and we had not eaten, we ate at the Italian in the hotel building, which was lovely and very well priced.
The pool area was lovely and by day we spent our time lounging here – it was hot hot hot! The pools go round the buildings and there are little bridges to get over each side. By night it looks fantastic. We ate at the pool bar which again, for a hotel complex was cheap.
Once it started to cool down we jumped into a taxi and headed to the centre - the hotel is quite a way out – about 20-25mins in a taxi. Havana was really nice and we enjoyed looking round the market stalls and at the trinkets.
Breakfast in the hotel was limited – ok to put you on but a few strange items included on there!! (Probably the previous nights leftovers!!)
We went out onto the sea front area and hubby was like – where is the beach? I said this is it!! There wasn’t anything to it – I wouldn’t have gone in the water.
We had a good time at the Comodoro, we are not fussy or picky at all and we always make the best of what we have – I could see that some people wouldn’t be happy here but it was fine for a 2/3 night stay here.
