We stayed there for a week, and while it was in a great location, the room itself was less than desirable. There was no air conditioning, except for in the bedroom. You were supposed to leave the front door and sliding door open to get a breeze. However, being that we were on the first floor, I did not feel this was terribly safe. Additionally, there were no screens, so every mosquito in Bonaire was in our room when the doors were open. The bedroom was airconditioned, as previously mentioned. However, the bed itself was actually 2 single beds pushed together. They were not even of equal height! All furniture and bedding was well worn. The bathroom was absolutely the worst. Again, no air conditioning, just a tiny little window above the shower, so the room was often humid and sticky. Additionally, I am using the word 'shower' generously. It was actually a hole in the floor with a shower curtain in front of it. The floor has NO pitch to it, so the bathroom would fill with water after each shower. "Luckily", they gave us a big squeegee to use to push the water down the drain. The bathroom had a constant odor of 'the bay'...yuck! Finally, over all, the place was not very clean. I don't think I ever smelled bleach or pine cleaner after the cleaning crew left. The same spots on the floor that were there when we got there were there when we left. And, the kitchen trash can was gross! There was tons of dried, old food on it, and we never even cooked. I would NOT recommed this place, at least the first floor. I understand that some of the rooms, particularly on the 2nd floor, have 'real' showers, and some even have air conditioning. But, I would be VERY cautious if booking this place, and ask SPECIFIC questions about the room in which you will be staying!! I would never go back because, quite frankly, even though the upper floors were nicer, they still had the same cleaning people cleaning them...

We 've spent our honeymoon in the penthouse and we had a great time. The penthouse is roomy and offers lots of privacy. The large terrace offers a stunning view over the caribean ocean and Klein Bonaire. There's a large livingroom with couches in one corner and a dining in the other. The kitchen is pretty basic but has everything one needs (except for a dishwasher). The location is perfect, it's about 300 meters from the centre of Kralendijk and 20 meters from the sea. The complex (6 or 8 appartments) has it's own parkingspace and a diveshop is on the property. However, what we liked the most during our stay was the friendly service. The office of Sunrentals (operating the complex) is also on the property so it's easy to drop by with any question. They helped us out with everything we needed and really put effort in ensuring our stay would be perfect. Everything with a personal touch, making it sometimes feel like you 're staying with family.

We stayed at the Belaire apartments. The apartment was located on the ground floor, it had two bedrooms, a full kitchen and a living room. Furniture was a little worn but fuctional. Its the roomy terrace or patio that made this place so grand. The waterview was spectacular. We rented throught Sunrentals which also made the rental car arrangements and the dive arrangements. The dive master who ran the dive shop was very personable, his dive brief was very good and he helped plan all our dives.
The people at Sunrentals was very helpful and accomadating I would definitly go back.
