Overall we had a good time and a great week of diving at the Divi. The location of the hotel is ideal - right on the water, a short 5- 10 minute walk into town, situated on a nice reef. The oceanfront room, though small, was clean and had a great balcony right on the water. The biggest downside was the quality of the beds - ours were pretty old and sagging.

The onsite restaurants were good - the breakfast buffet was nothing too fancy but was satisfactory. The Chibi Chibi which serves lunch and dinner, was quite good and has a great location over the water - you can see the fish down below right from your seat.

The boat diving was excellent - the dive shop is well run. There's a nice set up to dive right from the dock - especially good for night dives. There's a Hertz right on site at the hotel so you can rent a car for a few days to do shore diving or just expore the island.

I returned last week from my 4th trip to Bonaire. It was my first time staying at the Divi Flamingo and my absolute last time.

The Ocean front room was on the ocean and had a great view from the balcony. The room itself was horrible. Mold and stench and a shower that barely had water coming out if it when turned on full blast.

The staff at the "resort" was rude and could not have cared less about the guests.

We found ourselves at other hotel properties after the first day. We tried to check out early and get a refund but were told we would be charged the full price regardless of how long we stayed. We just left the property early in the morning and returned in the evening to use our poor shower and then went back to another hotel property. We'd come home late at night to sleep and then leave as soon as we woke up.

I will never stay at this property again!

We spent a week at Divi from October 14-21and it was the best from beginning to end. The service was great the food was wonderful. The diving and the diving crew were great at Divi. We saw 17 different dive sites in the week we stayed, never went to the same dive site. Town was very nice. Loved all the seafood meals. Loved the happy hour. Prices were a little high overall. Would recommend going to anyone for diving.

The hotel is quite average tourist class hotel. The ocean front rooms are on a great place, almost over the water, but are worn and could use some renovation. E.g. the rooms have moisture defects on walls, both inside and outside.

The hotel staff seems to vary a lot. Some are very friendly and customer service oriented, when some seem to regard customers as a disturbance of their other activities. On the good side, hotel's activity desk people were very good and really did their job.
