“Third Time's A Charm - Can't Wait For #4!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2014

Despite our best efforts to go new and different places, when we think about where we want to dive for a week, we always want to come back to Bonaire and to Coral Paradise. Kenny, Margaret, and Louise make us feel like family, are always available if needed, and make Bonaire feel like our home away from home albeit with much better weather!

For first-timers: the property is incredibly well-located, steps from the water and right next to two of the bigger dive operations on the island. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped: the AC always works, there's often a welcome surprise in the fridge, and the cleaning staff does an excellent job especially since most of the time you're tracking salt and sea water all over the place. Your truck is waiting for you when you arrive, no waiting on line at a rental office, and it just gets easier from there. Kenny, Margaret, and now Louise have answers to any and all questions you may have be they about eating out, where to dive, what to do on the surface, and everything in between. Their hospitality is what keeps Coral Paradise in a class by itself.

Already plotting our next trip!

Stayed at Coral Paradise for the third time and still cannot say enough good things about the place. Kenny, Margaret and Louise are so welcoming and are excited each day to hear your adventures. They make sure you have everything you need and are always helpful with dive locations, dining options and what to do around Bonaire. The rooms are quiet and everything you could need for a dive trip. The housekeepers do a fantastic job of cleaning and the kitchen is spacious enough to make a meal if you do not want to go out. The pool behind the resort is a welcoming place for all the quests to hang out and enjoy sharing dive stories in the evenings.

This was our fourth stay with the Coral Paradise folks and it was terrific again. Kenny, Margaret and Louise go above and beyond the call of duty to make sure everyone has everything they need. Louise made us dinner reservations and is always available for directions and advice about the island. It is so nice to get a ride from the airport to our waiting truck at the resort. Another thing we really appreciate about staying at Coral Paradise is there are no added fees or taxes. They are all included in your weekly rate. We have already made our reservation to stay there next year and can't wait to go back.

Room Tip: All rooms are the same. Downstairs might be better for those with diving equipment. We prefer the u...

We just returned from 2 fabulous weeks at Coral Paradise. There were four of us so we stayed in the 2 bedroom cottage - it's great for 2 couples to share. There's a full kitchen and living room and each bedroom has its own private bathroom and plenty of closet and storage space. The beds are comfortable and the cleaning crew is excellent. This was our first trip to Bonaire. Everything that's been written about owners Margaret and Kenny is true. They, along with manager Louise, go above and beyond anything we've ever experienced in our travels to ensure all our needs were met. Margaret and Kenny invited everyone staying to join them out for dinner one night for the best burgers. We came as guests and left as friends. Can't wait to return!

We stayed at Coral Paradise for a week the middle of January, and were very pleased from start to finish. They really have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and pleasant. Most of the details have been mentioned in other reviews, but the things that stood out for us was how well equipped the kitchen was and the facilities for rinsing and drying wet suits and other gear. Being steps away from a wonderful reef for snorkeling was the icing on the cake. We stayed in a downstairs room. There was a cool breeze all day long with the screen door to the patio opened and the bathroom window opened, so we only closed things up and ran the air conditioner at night while sleeping. It was very quiet - we never heard our neighbors, and felt very private. No question why this is the top rated place to stay on Bonaire!

Coral Paradise met all of our expectations. From the moment we arrived it felt more like we were staying at a friend's apartment rather than a corporate hotel. Louise, the hotel manager, was friendly, warm and very helpful in orienting us to the island. She took the time to talk about her favorite restaurants, dive sites, etc. There are a total of 8 rooms overlooking the pool and each has a kitchenette and porch or balcony. It is not an ocean view but there is a public walk to the ocean less than a minute away so not having an ocean view was fine. Plus that public walk led to a beach where you could dive right there and we saw turtles and lots of coral there!

We chose to dive with Buddy Dive which was nice because they had a drive thru for tanks. The only problem we had with buddy dive was some of the tanks had bad O rings and since the drive thru area was loud you could not hear the leak until you were at a dive site.

The owners of Coral Paradise, Kenny and Margaret, were amazing. They were very accommodating, friendly and enthusiastic. They would see us every day and ask about our days, dives, etc. They made us feel like we were staying at a home away from home. They pick the trucks up or you and the vehicle was in great shape.

The only tip I have is don't get the buffet breakfast at rum runners because there is a grocery store a minute away and the breakfast buffet was not that good. The kitchenette is a nice size and you can easily eat most of your meals there.

We will definitely be going back to Coral Paradise when we return to Bonaire. If you are looking for a corporate resort with people everywhere and 24 hr desk service then this place is not for you but if you want a friendly, nice environment to enjoy your dive vacation where you are made to feel at home then you should not stay anywhere else on Bonaire!

Absolutely loved it! In their website, they said: Come as a guest and leave as a friend. As corny as this may sound; that's exactly how we felt. From the moment we arrived; Louise greeted us with a huge smile and nice cold drinks; not to mention the resort picked up our rental truck for us! Margaret and Kenny are the best hosts: one night, they even took the whole resort out to the place with the best burgers in town. We've stayed all over the world in different types of places and by far, Coral Paradise Resort will be the one we treasure the most. Not only we can't wait to come back for the great diving Bonaire has to offer, we can't wait to come back because we miss Margaret, Kenny, Louise (& her very charming husband).
This place deserves to be the #1 pick on TripAdvisor over and over again.
It is very centrally located, close to the two big dive centers, about 5min drive from the downtown area and about a 10-15 min drive to the dive sites (both north and south).
