“Elegant new Italian Restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2014 via mobile

Nicely decorated traditional Italian Restaurant. Very friendly staff and excellent service. New a la carte menu, with very creative offerings. Nice wine list. Food was excellent and nicely presented. Don't miss dessert.

“not impressed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2014

I liked how modern everything was. Was not thrilled when we walked in and they gave us a price fixed menu. A friend of mine that lives on the island had a "regular" menu when she went so apparently this was out of the blue for them. I asked about the people at the bar that had a pizza and she said that was a special menu, which i found out later that it is part of the normal menu. We had a 5 course choice of $35 and $45. We didnt care for anything on the $35, of course. So, as far as food, it was good but i would have wanted a little more sauce on my steak but knew that i would never get it. I had to flag her down to get another glass of wine and we were NEVER asked for another beer for my husband. Service was not good at all. We asked for the check and our dessert dishes were never cleared and they never came back for the check until we finally gave up, left cash and she noticed us as we stood up. Will not be back. I think the Dutch got the attention, not us.

“Wonderful new addition to Bonaire dining!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2013

We arrived here after a night dive--it was nearly 10 p.m.--after another restaurant we'd planned to visit was closed. What a happy surprise for us! Although it was late, and there were several large local groups dining there, they found us a table immediately. The waitress was very careful to tell us that they only had the holiday menu available (it was Boxing Day) for $35 (3 courses) or $45 (4 courses). Worth every penny, which is something you can't always say in Bonaire.

Everything, starting with the delicious focaccia and on to the fabulous dessert was excellent. (I particularly like the squid risotto and the eggplant with the barracuda.) We were, unfortunately, too wiped out to order wine or a mixed drink, although they looked temptingly good!

The restaurant is located north of town, across from the Sand Dollar, so not convenient for some visitors and away from the downtown scene. No views, of course, and a very modern décor. On the evening we were there, the place was filled with locals--including the priest who had said Mass two nights before (glad he got some time off.)

Would definitely go back--planning on it, if only to try the regular menu! .
