“Wasn't Me. . . a FANTASTIC Catamaran and Crew”
I had the GREAT pleasure to sail on the "Wasn't Me" Catamaran while in Barbados in July 2011. Now this is NOT the first Catamaran tour I have taken, but it was absolutely the BEST I have been on!
Captain Ron Williams and his crew do a FANTASTIC job, and take care of their guests with professionalism, and great skill!
First off. . the Wasn't Me is U.S. Coast Guard approved for 45 Passengers. Yet Captain Ron has a policy of not taking out more than 24. On the day that I sailed, there were 18 people on board. This gave EVERYONE plenty of room and you didn't feel crowded in ANY WAY.
We passed LOTS of Catamaran's that day, and all of them were FILLED to the brim with people. We on the other hand had lot's of room and it made for a VERY enjoyable cruise.
The Crew were friendly, skilled at what they did, and made everyone feel at home. I watched as they literally took care of EVERY need of any and every person on board.
The food and drinks were plentiful, and of the highest quality!
The Catamaran was in EXCELLENT condition in literally every way. It was clean and polished and obviously well cared for. I have been on other Catamaran's that were WAY below the standard that I saw on board the Wasn't Me.
And that Cat would FLY! Ron is an excellent Captain, and is absolute control of that vessel EVERY SINGLE moment it is in the water. And the boat will literally fly! I was absolutely impressed with the speed that this boat traveled, and the skill of the entire crew.
The price was right, and the experience was outstanding.
We stopped at one point and swam with the Turtles, and then went to the Northern edge of the island, and swam in a protected reef area. The equipment was great, and they even had "flippers" for the guests to use. . . an option that I have never been offered on any other Catamaran in Barbados.
In fact, let me add that this Catamaran took me both further North, and further South than I have EVER been on any other Catamaran tour in Barbados!
Capt. Ron goes out of his way to make his guests comfortable, and insures that they all have a great time. I am impressed with the way he takes care of people. It is obvious that he could make more money by filling the boat up. . .but he refuses to do this, and yet doesn't charge any more money for his tours.
I can assure you that I will be back on this tour MANY MANY times! And I would encourage ANYONE interested in a Catamaran tour while in Barbados to choose this tour. You will NOT be disappointed.
