“Beautiful & Idyllic as Usual !!!”

Peach and Quiet

We have just returned from our fifth holiday at Peach & Quiet and we are amazed, as ever, at the quality and service we have come to expect and love. As usual, Chris the Chef was as friendly and accommodating as always, even going out of his way to make me special requests. His food is true bajan cuisine and was exceptional. Margaret went out of her way to book all of the new trips and experiences that we hadn't had time to do and make last time and the island is still as lovely as ever. The hotel has come a long way from our first visit and we adored the additional sea/garden lounge where we could relax in the shade. We were pleased to see our favourite friends, two gorgeous cats who take away all our withdrawal symtoms of leaving ours at home !!!! As ever, Peach and Quiet is our home away from home and we cannot thank Margaret enough for being the perfect hostess and treating us as one of the family. We will see you next year, and the year after, and the year after that !!!!!!!

A few reviews have said that Peach and Quiet wouldn't be great for younger travelers (meaning 20s and 30s) and I beg to differ! My boyfriend and I stayed with P&Q for the first 5 days of our trip to Barbados and for the rest of the trip we wished we'd booked our entire stay there.

Both of us arrived right after extremely stressful work weeks and expected to need a few days to unwind - it only took one night. My favorite part about the location was the constant soothing sound of waves crashing on the rocks. Our room was only about 40 feet from the shore so we left our glass door open all night to fall asleep to the sound. The lack of tvs and radios was key as well; when we checked into the Hilton later that week we noticed the NOISE was so irritating compared to P&Q.

P&Q has great nooks to read, sunbathe, or just watch the waves. The pool is perfect for just paddling around, and the swim up bar certainly adds to the fun! Speaking of bars, the self-service bar is great (and cheap) because it allows you to just wander up and pour a second (or third... or fourth) glass of rum punch.

The owners were fantastic, helping us arrange rentals, trips, etc. Definitely ask them to help you get a rental car; it's expensive at $50 a day but well-worth it. We saw so much of the island on the two days we rented, it worked out great.

To sum up P&Q in one word - perfect. I would be so disappointed if anything changed before we visit next year!:)

I have recently come back from Peach & Quiet - we stayed for one week from 31 March for our honeymoon - what can I say.... we entered our beautiful room with flowers on the bed and champagne chilling, the room was rustic but full of charm - the wind keeping it cool. Margaret and Adrian are such good people and their hard work really has paid off. If you are looking for a "non package" style hotel where you will meet like minded folk from all over the world, where you can share a rum punch and talk about your day - then this is for you. My husband likes to windsurf and you can walk across the rocks to the windsurf beach in around 8 mins. The windsurfing is the best he has ever experienced. After a hard sail, we walked back and sank into a lounger to take in the awessome view of the waves crashing against the rocks inches away from us, supping on our rum punch from the honesty bar. The chef there cooks wonderful food, always fish and something else on the menu, the breakfasts are mean and the homemade bread!! Sinful. Margaret and Adrian thank you so much and we will be back!

“Lovely quiet place to relax”

We spent ten days at Peach and Quiet. It is a delightful and somewhat quirky little place with direct access to a splendid snorkelling pool at low tide. Sandy beach is a short walk away, but there is a great little swimming pool on site. We had one of the twi seafront rooms and loved the sound of the waves.
There is an honesty bar and Margaret the resident owner is always keen to please.
One of the best recommendations of all time - No children!!!
The only real quibble is that the relative isolation means that getting out to an evening meal is a bit more trouble than it would be in the more commercial parts of the island, in the short term this is not a problem as dinner is available on site and people generally seem to come here to relax, however we moved after ten days to another hotel (pre arranged because of availability at Peach and Quiet - no reflection on the quality of the accommodation) and found a different, more accessible island.
Would I recommend Peach and Quiet - yes without question
Will i go back again - probably not, there are too many places to see in the world.

We were ever so fortunate to have spent 12 days over Christmas at Peach and Quiet. It was so much more than we ever expected. The owners, Margaret and Adrian are fantastic hosts, hardworking and a wealth of knowledge. The staff are superb and the food is incredible. Chef Chris bakes the best bread you will ever eat. If ever there is a place to return to it is definitely Peach and Quiet.
