It all depends on what a person values. The staff, the location and setting along the beach makes for a wonderful visit. Cleanliness of the rooms was good. The items on the food menu and the hotel appointments could indeed be updated which would move this hotel from an average to an excellent rating. For an example the beds in our room(s) were not as comfortable as could be hoped for while on vaction. Considering that many persons visiting this island paradise are aging baby boomers a bed that aggravates or causes lower back and or hip pain will lose repeat customers. Would I stay here again? Possibly, but not necessarily. My family (self included) were not please with the bedding. So for a little more or significantly more money with more comfortable bedding we would chose another location.

    • Disliked — The bed was not comfortable and the food menu could provide a wider selection.

“Beward of the Egg Lady...”

My priority when traveling to the islands is staying at a place with a decent pool and great beach. Coconut Court has both. Although there were a lot of families and kids at the hotel, the pool never felt crowded. The beach was fabulous. The flowers and landscaping were just gorgeous! And while the ocean view was spectacular, the room was just okay - beds weren't very comfortable, linens adequate, and we could have used a chair or small loveseat (there was plenty of space for one). Very bare bones. Most of the staff were extrodinarily nice and helpful (especially the front desk folks) with the exception of "the Egg Lady" who served breakfast. She was mean and scary. It got so that I did't want to go to breakfast because of her (and she seemed to have a preference for the guests of color). And watch out for the birds at breadfast who will eat your food if your back is turned. Food in the restaurant was just okay, although we really enjoyed the dinner/craft sale. The Italian pizza/bakery, believe it or not, across the street was one of the best places to eat. Ted's tour was fun but a little long and the rum punch was weak. Bring money. Getting around the island was challenging especially if you don't like taking crowded busses and expensive taxis (and they drive like maniacs). It would have been nice if Coconut Court had arranged a trip to Ostins on Friday nights.

“Very Friendly place!”

My boyfriend and I just returned from a week's stay at the Coconut court beach hotel. We had a wonderful time! Our room was always clean and the view of the beach was fantastic! Certainly worth waking up to that sight! The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful when sharing knowledge of their island! We especially enjoyed sharing our days with Cyrleen (bartender) and Winston (bartender). They made us feel like family! There were diffent theme nights at the hotel and the food was excellent ( Manager's party on tuesdaysand the Oriental buffet on Thursdays)! Swimming on our beach and feeding the fish was so much fun! Also, ask the concierge about Ted's Tour, it's so much fun and the sights tosee are certainly worth it! Ted is hilarious! I have not a bad thing to say about our stay at the Coconut COurt BEach Hotel in Barbados. We will most definitely be returning (maybe even for our wedding)!!!!

Just back from the coconut court stayed in room 116 nice room all your basic needs but the view was to die for couldnt have been happier, lovely beach great friendly staff if your thinking of getting married there sarah does a fantastic job there were three weddings there during our stay some very intimate others larger all wonderfull all the staff do a fantastic job (tempted my self) .From what i saw every room has a good view there is noise from the Woodpecker ( was Rooster) a couple of times a week not as noisey on the lower floors a couple of rum punches and you wont here anything anyway . We ate at the hotel sometimes we enjoyed it they have theme nights good chinese night, bands a few times a week try freds basic place but great steaks and the 39 steps lovely place. There is a great old car muesem next to freds bar worth a visit. Try the harbour Master dinner tour great night out and entertainement . We were more than happy with our stay this is not a big fancy hotel but its great value for the money would we stay again YES PLEASE do Teds tour crazy guy great tour tells you loads about the island and a nice lunch too.

“Brilliant Holiday at Coconut Court”

Coconut Court Beach Resort

This was our first visit to the caribbean and we went with an open mind. From booking in the staff were great and made us feel welcome. Our room was well prepared and had a great view.It was cleaned and towels changed every day and the maids were always happy. The beach was amazing, its even better than the pictures. We were on self catering so chose between eating at the hotel and the local restuarants. The food in the hotel was good as was the service.Outside if you like steak then Freds bar just down the road is the place. If its italian you like then try Mama Mias over the road. The best meals I had were at 39 Steps,a 2 minute walk up the road although its advisable to book.We went scuba diving with Eco dive booked through the hotel.Andrew who runs it is a great guy and really looks after you.Do go on Teds Tour as its a great day out,hes a good laugh.Use the little 'suicide' buses as they are really cheap and the locals are friendly. While we were there we were lucky enough to see a hawksbill turtle laying its eggs right there on our beach! This hotel is a gem and we could easily nitpick like some other reviews we read before we came but it doesnt pretend to be something it isnt so go and enjoy it.
