Spent the week of May 3-10, 2008 at the Divi Southwinds. Acquired the week through a timeshare exchange. The property is beautifully landscaped and well maintained. Our unit was clean, well equipped and attractively furnished. It was a one bedroom unit with a full kitchen, breakfast bar, living room which has a couch with a foldout bed, two very spacios closets and a large vanity area separate from the bath. The unit has a television in both the bedroom and living room with very limited cable TV. Our unit overlooked the larger of the three pools and the restaurant. The beach was a short walk across the road through St Lawrence Gap though a soon to be demolished and unused beachfront unit of the hotel to the hotel's beachfront bar. Loungers and umbrellas are available at the bar area at no charge except for a gratuity to Elvis, the attendant. Various activites are available at the hotel including beach volleyball, miniature golf and tennis. Barbados' famous green monkeys visit the tennis court area at approximately 4 pm daily and are fun to watch. The resident rooster struts around like he owns the property and provides the occasional morning wakeup call, but not somthing that can't be ignored. The hotel personnel were friendly and helpful to a person. We highly recommend this resort and would return anytime.
