I stayed 10 nights at this location and found it to be a nice, clean, budget efficiency apartment.
The room was not fancy but it was extremely clean and comfortable compared to other small hotels. A great group of staff members work at this hotel. They were helpful and extended their kindness to all the guests. The staff was amazing in helping out with suggestions and directions.
I would return for another stay at this hotel.
Other great reasons to stay at this hotel are the location. Located about a 10 minute walk up to St. Lawrence Gap where you can catch lots of nightly action or enjoy some local food from the street vendors. You can walk 10 minute down to Accra (Rockley) beach and enjoy this lively beach. Great location for all your shopping needs, all within a 5 minute walk from Worthing Court Apartments. Food, pharmacy duty free and late night snacks along with many banks all within a 5 minute walk from your room. This frees you up from renting a car if you are bit hesitant like me to drive on the opposite side. Bridgetown is a short 15 minute bus ride to the centre of town and the lovely waterfront. Great experience and hope you find this helpful.
I would not recommend this location for families – not enough activity to occupy the children.
It is a quiet getaway for adults looking for some local fun without the big hotel atmosphere.

My wife and I both stayed in this small hotel for 2 weeks in november 2006, the acommodation was comfortable, and the room was cleaned daily to a high standard, the room had air/con, tv and self catering equiptment.

The location was excellent, it cost us £8 in the taxi from the airport to reach the hotel, the beach was about 1 minutes walk from our apartment, supermarkets and banks were also no more than a 2 minute walk. The local buses were really cheap 30p for any journey to anywhere on the island.

There was plenty of entertainment within walking distance, to suit most taste's, we had meal 's out most night 's but we found that the hotels own restaurant ( mike's restaurant ) was as good as, and a lot nicer than a lot of the more expensive establishments we visited.

When I come back to barbados I will definitely be staying at Worthing Court hotel.

Booked the hotel as part of a cheap package deal, so wasn't expecting the earth, however, I was pleasantly surprised.
There are 2 small blocks (only 3 stories high) containing 15-20 rooms, with plenty of parking if you want to rent a car (car rental either side of the hotel -but not intrusive) The whole place has been re-decorated recently (probably with the world cup Cricket in mind for early 2007) and I looked like it was a rolling upgrade process, as one small bit was painted while I was there.

The reception staff are friendly everything was handled smoothly. The rooms are clean, tidy and have air-conditioning (which wasn't too noisy). The TV reception isn't great, but is watchable. But then what are you doing in Barbados watching TV? The cleaning staff are pleasant (even if they will hint for a tip - I got "I'm going on vacation next week" two weeks in a row), and show Bajan understanding of a late morning.

The rooms are fairly well sound protected with no annoying slamming doors. The security is pretty good (double door lock and ground floor bars protecting the patio), but with a re-fundable deposit ($50Barbadian) you can get a key to the safe in the room at no charge.

The beach is 2 minutes away and glorious (if small) and there are loads of others to choose from. There are 2 supermarkets within 2 minutes walk as well - along with a 24 hour Shell station - perfect for midnight snacks.

Small quibbles:
1/ The appartments at the back are close to a pond and you will get a lot of frog and cricket noises (as will a lot of places) - but you soon get used to it (I am normally bothered by noise but was fine after a couple of nights)
2/ The kitchenette will set off the smoke alarm when cooking,so you have to undo the alarm until you are done.
3/ The bar / restuarant is currently closed for renovation (not a problem as St Lawerence gap is only 10 minutes walk away andhas loads of places to eat)

Overall a great place to stay for the money.

“Lovely Location”

If you are looking for a location that is close to St Lawrence Gap but not in St Lawrence Gap which can be quite noisy and close to the beaches and amenities, then Worthing Court is the place for you.

Recently refurbished, the hotel is clean, freshly decorated and is in a brilliant location, everything you need Supermarket, Bank, Chemist, Duty Free shop, Petrol Station, Hairdressers is within two minutes walking distance. There is a beach opposite the hotel which is great for surfers as the waves are quite rough, I am not a swimmer so I preferred Browns Beach which is a 10min bus ride away, much larger beach with calmer waters, but if you wish you could also walk to Accra Beach which was aprox 15min walk, a much smaller beach and therefore more busy as Accra beach is where the majority of the hotels and apartments are situated.

The staff are friendly at Worthing Court and clean your apartment on a daily basis, the food in the bar is reasonable but limited, however there are so many restaurants to choose from around the location if you wish.

The apartment has everything you need, the Aircon was a blessing and the HBO and BET channels were great!

It is a small hotel so very quiet, however Barbados is the fastest developing carribbean country so there are alot of building works going on in preparation for the Cricket in 2007 which can be noisy, the hotel is also based on the coastal route so is extremely busy road-wise all the time.

My apartment was situated facing the coastal road and Worthing Hotel is located next to a carwash so although I could see the sea every morning from my balcony, you could also see cars being washed and at times you could hear lorries and trucks whizzing by in the night. I wasnt particularly bothered as it was not overly loud, however, you could avoid direct noise from the coastal road, by booking yourself into the 2nd apartment block facing the supermarket, which I believe would be more quieter but you would miss the seaview.

As a young woman travelling on my own this location was perfect for me and I could see for a couple it would be lovely as its small, intimate and amenable to all facilities.

I liked it so much that I intend to go back to Worthing Court next year.

Nice little quiet hotel, Liked the pool and bar and there is a very pleasant beach just across the road.

Plus St. Laurence Gap, where all the night life is, its real close too.

The food at the restaurant was nice. No complains on the service.

and Close to Bridgetown.
