“A Wonderful Holiday at the Treasure Beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2013

Just got back from a wonderful 10 days at the Treasure Beach. We could not fault the hotel, a great location right on the beach. The staff are brilliant, friendly and very professional. The food in the restaurant was excellent, we booked bed and breakfast with the intention to eat out most nights, but after trying the restaurant we ended up eating there most evenings and lunchtimes. The menu changes every day and is reasonably priced. We were looking for a chill-out holiday and this fitted the bill perfectly. We will definitely return to this hotel.

One of the reasons we chose this hotel was because of the wonderful reviews we had read here on tripadvisor. The amazing thing is that it has all been said so many times in different ways but this is truely a wonderful hotel set in the most perfect location on Paynes Bay Beach with the most caring, friendly and attentive staff imaginable. From Corey and Baker looking after us so well at the beach , Kevin , Wayne and the brilliant bar and restaurant team , not to mention the friendly and efficient ladies who kept our room spotless during our stay and the cheerful and helpful reception staff nothing was too much trouble to ensure we had the perfect holiday. Jason, the General Manager is also very hands on and holds a very welcoming Cocktail Reception on Fridays followed by the most sumptuous and enjoyable BBQ. We very much look forward to returning to this gem of a hotel in the very near future. Thank you everyone for such an excellent holiday.

Room Tip: We had a virgin special room with garden view which we loved and was very quiet.

We love this hotel and hope to come back again. We stayed in Room 17, a designated Virgin room, and were absolutely delighted with it. We were offered a “nicer room” by Jason, but having already unpacked, decided to stay where we were and found it to be exactly what we needed: private and shaded from the afternoon sun. We loved the spaciousness of the suite: bedroom, bathroom, lounge and terrace. Everything was kept spotlessly clean – in our suite, grounds and gardens. The friendliness of the staff and attentiveness of Jason, the Manager, could not be surpassed. Tanya K says it all! The food is very good indeed: imaginative and varied menu, nicely presented and served. We liked the extra touches: cold towels and fruit kebabs to refresh us on the beach; afternoon tea, which was popular and very welcome. The hotel is well situated on the West Coast and we enjoyed a few visits to Holetown and Bridgetown using the cheap and frequent public buses.

Great location on a superb beach. The hotel staff are exceptional in every way and the manager is very attentive to the guests. Can't fault any aspect of our stay, there is a very relaxed feel about the place , the restaurant is good, rooms very comfortable and clean, excellent spa, the ideal place for a really relaxing getaway.

Room Tip: Seafront rooms are worth the extra cost

What a find! Lovely positioning on the seafront with great views overlooking one of the best stretches of the caribbean ocean on the island. Particularly helpful and friendly staff. This is a special hotel with the quality and standards you would expect from a top rated hotel but with the atmosphere and personal touch of a charming small boutique one. We very much enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to booking again soon!

I love this hotel and have to keep coming back. It has a fantastic location on Paynes Beach, a long stretch of sand great for walking and a myriad of blues in the calm sea where you can feed the turtles, scuba with the fish or just take a dip to cool off. Then you have a great choice of where to sun bathe- a comfortable sun lounger under an umbrella on the beach or under the shade of the majestic mahogany tree on the lawns overlooking the ocean. Or just dive into the pool. Otherwise stay on the cool of your balcony and I am pretty sure that what ever type of room you choose you can see the sea. The rooms are extremely comfortable, white and cream, with a separate living room/ kitchen , well appointed bathroom and then your own outside space of a terrace or the balcony from which you can admire the fantastic gardens , a combination of palms and wonderful, bright flowers. As well as the brilliant location and facilities the main highlight of this hotel is the staff. They have a wonderful sixth sense of knowing when you want privacy and when you want to share some banter. They bring fabulous Bajan humour and spirit but with more efficiency and accuracy than is sometimes the case in the Caribbean. From Helen and Leroy at reception, Kevin and his team in the restaurant ( where you can enjoy either casual or elegant tasty local dishes and more familiar favourites) , Baker and Corie at the beach or any of the housekeeping and maintenance teams, everyone is so friendly that before long your island paradise has become as familiar and comfortable as home. Whether you come here to do heavy duty sun worshipping, total relaxation, island or water exploration, Treasure Beach is the kind of place where everything goes......but make sure to stop for afternoon tea at four o'clock. General Manager Jason keeps a proactive eye on everything to ensure that nothing on your stay gets over looked. And even those managers cocktail party things are good fun. Treasure Beach works it's magic on everyone that stays, and all guests seem to be considerate, friendly and respect each others holiday needs. If you want to party til the small hours this may not be the right place for you. And yes, there may be a couple of hotels that are supposed to be the place to stay... well, they aren't a patch on this place. It has a personality and soul that can't be matched. I love this hotel.....did I already say that?

Room Tip: First and second floor garden rooms have a fab view of the sea. End suites on each wing are amazing...

This was my second visit and even surpassed the excellent first visit of 3 years ago.

The Hotel is situated on the best stretch of the West Coastline of Barbados with beautiful clear seas and sands.

The Hotel which I discovered is not publicised enough was recently voted by "Caribbean World Magazine" as the "Best Small Romantic Hotel of the Year"

Treasure Beach is all suite Hotel set in a semi-circle around a fresh water swimming pool

Since our last visit there is a new dynamic General Manager who made the guests feel special and who had motivated the staff to high performance levels.

The rooms were tended twice a day and were of 5 Star comfort. I was amazed that friends staying at a nearby 5 Star Hotel did not have television in their rooms!

There was a restaurant with very good and varied menus which changed each day and the Friday night GM's Cocktail Party and Bar B Cue was the highlight of our stay. There was a resident singer on at least 2 nights we were there.

The Hotel also offers a modern spa and fitness centre and the front desk team of Leroy and Helen were always cheerful and helpful............................!

Nothing more to say except a magnificent Hotel and staff on the best beach in Barbados and well worth a visit!
