“Just Amazing !!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2014 via mobile

Just spent two weeks at Sandy Lane with the kids; this is our sixth time here. There is just no better hotel in Barbados ! We travel a lot as a family and this place is in a league of its own. The staff are friendly and nothing is any trouble. The facilities are fantastic not to mention the amazing two restaurants and the incredible breakfasts and buffets !!! We can't wait to return !!!!!!

Ok this review is a little late ( 18 moths) but we spent (2nd time) 10 days in the SL with our girls ( at the time 15 and 17) and without doubt its one of the best hotels anywhere.
Service, staff, food , rooms , facilities , pool, beach -- all perfect. Yes its expensive ( dont believe the hype as its only Xmas time its crazy money) but compared to other 5* resorts its in our opinion miles ahead. IN the best part of Barbados for great restaurants etc - 10/10

Room Tip: they are all excellent

What a place to travel too. VIP service all the way, great rooms, amazing staff, they cater to your every need. Room service food great also. Gym spot on, pool just right, beach amazing!! We would have liked the trousers only rule for dinner to be a little more relaxed for smart shorts, what with the heat and humidity. So because of that we ate out more than in the hotel.

My husband and traveled to sandy Lane for our 10 yr anniversary. It was by far the most beautiful resort with fantastic customer service. The staff catered to each of their guests not overlooking the smallest of details. We did not travel with our son, but will most definitely travel there again with him as it is very kid friendly, with as many activities for them as for adults. The spa facilities were amazing. We can say enough good things, we can't wait to go back.

I spent 5 weeks travelling around Barbados and thought that I would take a look at what all the fuss was about with Sandy Lane. Inside is undoubtedly spectacular, but well over priced. It has a reputation as being a millionaires club, well that may be true and if you don't care about being extortionately over charged then Sandy Lane is for you. The service is basic considering the price tag, you can receive much better service elsewhere around the Island. The private beach is not actually private, anyone can use the beach directly outside the complex but it is frowned upon by the paying residence and staff, understandably. The beach is not the best on the Island but it is nice and clean, and sort of private! You cannot enter the complex unless you are a paying customer, but you can access the beach from a coastal approach north or south by walking a distance to get to the Sandy Lane beach. The whole place is well over rated, but that is only my opinion...

Room Tip: Beach view spectacular.

I've been travelling to Barbados for 12 years, always opting to stay in the south coast around the Gap, however we wanted to try something different and opted for the west coast this time, although we were not staying in Sandy Lane (a little out of our price budget) we decided to try their afternoon tea. From the greeting at the door, to being seated in a beautiful courtyard with ocean views, this experience was incredible. Stacey was our host for the afternoon and nothing was too much trouble, fabulous service and a pleasure to meet her. We opted for the 'Classic Tea' at 90 bajan dollars, there was myself, my mum and my 4 year old son and trust me this was more than enough for all 3 of us, so much so we even had leftovers that Stacey arranged for us to have it packaged and sealed in containers in a snazzy Sandy Lane gift bag to take home. Whilst we were there we also had a walk on their beautiful beach, a swim in the sea and left feeling like we had an amazing afternoon, wonderful memories and hope to return next year when we bring some friends so they can experience it too. If like us you want to see what this hotel is all about, go for the afternoon tea, you won't regret it, it's a beautiful place and I would love to stay there one day!

I was lucky enough to return to Sandy Lane in May this year and i think it was better than the time before if that is possible!
From the moment i stepped out of the car from the airport and was greeted with "Welcome Home" we were treated to the most fabulous experience.
Understated elegance - I love it.

Room Tip: Dolphin Suite - great space, big terrace
