“Fantastic stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2013

The large size and spaciousness of the unit was prefect. I loved having a kitchen, living room and separate bedroom. The pool was clean, the staff was beyond friendly, the cocktail hour at Robin's made for a great evening and being within waking distance to the beach and many great restaurants was super convenient. I highly recommend BeachView and would gladly return again in the future.

We've recently returned from our 3rd wonderful trip to Beach View and are already planning our next one. Two weeks was just not enough! If you want to be able to completely relax and unwind, this is the perfect place to do it. We love the fact that you don't feel obliged to join in with planned activities or eat at set times--you can just do your own thing. But, if you do want to book trips etc Carrie is always on hand to get things organised.
We love the amount of space in the apartment and the fact that it is so well equipped for preparing simple meals to eat on the balcony (the fish market is literally across the road). Every day the apartments are thoroughly cleaned -Beach View has a great, friendly housekeeping team who respond very quickly to any queries. We also make good use of the ice-maker in the fridge for our sundowners. And the free internet access is great for the majority of the time.

No, the apartments are not ON the Beach but you literally just cross the road and you are on a beautiful beach. There are boats on this beach to hire and jet-skis too - just perfect. Daphne's is on this beach - do go for Happy Hour and watch the sunset- it's gorgeous and so are the cocktails.
On the subject of cocktails, don't miss the cocktail party which the owner, Robin, and his family host at their glorious home on a Thursday evening. It is lovely - a great opportunity to meet the other guests, get to know them and exchange ideas and recommendations on things to do and places to go.
We did not hire a car this time so we used restaurants in the near vicinity of Beach View:
Within walking distance:
Cariba. We went twice to this chattel house-it is not on the beach. We had to go back the 2nd time due to my husbands’ food-envy of my steak. He was not disappointed.
Scarletts. Nice food, gorgeous cocktails and the most heavenly air conditioning.
Daphnes. We ate here 3 times-our favourite. The piri piri prawns are just wonderful-but we enjoyed everything here!
Take a cab:
Sandy Lane. We went here for afternoon tea-WOW! Someone here can really bake! We were made so welcome-great waitress. We were advised that 1 tea between us would be plenty-they offered to box up what was left and we were still eating it 2 days later. It was just amazingly delicious and a real bargain. We also had a good look around the whole place. What a great afternoon! We will do this again.
So, if you want to relax and just suit yourself, Beach View can't be beaten for location, quality and value for money. Thank you for a great holiday yet again.

My wife and I stayed at Beach View for the fortnight - what a memorable experience. Fantastic spacious apartment that overlooked the pool and the sea with excellent facilities. Many restaurants local to the hotel and in nearby Holetown and can recommend Daphnes and Roti Den in Paynes Bay, Tides and Beach House in Holetown and afternoon tea at Sandy Lane. A little gem for authentic 'Barbadian' is Jagos - just a short walk up the hill to the right from the entrance to Beach View where you can be guaranteed a most friendly welcome and excellent very inexpensive local fare. A must is also the fresh fish from Paynes Bay Fish Market just across the road from Beach View where you can buy exquisite fresh fish (recommend the tuna and red snapper) which is easily cooked using the excellent facilities in the apartment. We regularly used the local buses to take us to all parts of the island - fantastic value at 2 Barbadian Dollars per trip! Finally thanks must be extended to Robin and Carrie (and family) for all their excellent help and advice - nothing too much trouble - and for their excellent hospitality - cocktails and canapés - at the weekly visit to their private residence adjacent to the beach! This creates a fantastic friendly atmosphere and enables you to meet all guests and results in a very friendly atmosphere around the apartments and especially around the pool complex. A most memorable and happy stay and we hope to be back!

Staff and facilities were both amazing. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
The staff made us feel very welcome and helped us with any thing we needed. The organised get togethers were great for meeting other guests.
The room was very comfortable and spacious and had all the equipment in that we needed.
I thought that they should put on a BBQ more than one night a week as the food was excellent

What can we say, absolutely fantastic apartments, home from home. Spacious, well equipped, beautifully decorated, balconies and views you fall in love with. On arrival we were welcomed by Robyn and Sonia. Our luggage had been taken to our apartment. Robyn took us to the apartment and explained everything we needed to know. A helpful food welcome pack was there for us. We settled in easily. Having been to the island numerous times before, this was our first experience of self catering, usually do all inclusive. Went shopping at local supermarket Jordans and planned our days. Had a good breakfast, stocked up beach bags for the day, and travelled on local buses to many beaches around the island. Accra beach, Dover beach, Mullins bay, Carlisle bay, visited friends on south coast. Spent some time around the pool, which was lovely, cleaned every day. Nice safe pool. Had breakfast and lunch at the Hut, yummy. Went to sundowners on roof top for a few rum punches to watch the sunset and meet other guests, and visited Robyn's home for cocktails, lovely evening. Re the few comments about air con, it's simple really, doors shut air con on, doors open air con goes off. If you feel cold with air con on, open the doors and put fans on. Nice touch too, free wifi, very helpful and never any issues with this, always got on Internet. Thank you so much Robyn, Sonia, Carrie, James, Henrietta, security staff, and bigs thanks to our lady who cleaned our apartment. You all made our stay FANTASTIC. WE WILL BE BACK. :-)

Room Tip: Request higher floor and just enjoy yourselves

Stopped here for two weeks on our honeymoon. We where met by the owner and made very welcome the lady in reception was very helpful and friendly as was all the staff. the apartment was a great size and very clean and had all the appliances you would have in your own kitchen .We stopped on the second floor where we had a good view of the beach and the garden. there is a lovely beach across the road my tip if your going for a walk on beech head towards holetown it is lovely,if you want to travel around the buses only charge two $2.00 Barbados dollars or 1 USD per trip any where the yellow Reggie buses are great. We hired a moke for a week they are great fun even in the rain,if you want to do something different try the submarine experience from Bridgetown harbour we went to a depth of 149 ft and even saw a ship wreck great, shops don't open a Sunday well not many just a hand full.so to sum all up great apartment great location and very friendly locals. TINA & STEVE

Room Tip: all rooms seem to have great views of garden or beach.ours was room 206 great:

We absolutely loved our time at beach view and Robin and Carrie were great hosts! We chose Barbados and Beach View for our honeymoon and this turned out to be the perfect start to our marriage.

Our room, on the third floor was perfect with breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea and we were so close to the beach,..... we could hear the waves on our balcony and in the bedroom! It was truly bliss! This was largely owe this to Carrie as I sent her a cheeky email stating what we had in mind and she clearly didn't not disappoint!!! Thanks again Carrie!

Great location with the beach on our doorstep and plenty of restaurants to choose from,... Personal faves were Daphne's and The Cliff both less than 5 minutes walk away.

We will definitely be back!!!!!!

Aasam & shine! Thanks again Robin and Carrie!

Ps. Your house is amazing!!!! :-)

Room Tip: Third floor in the paw paw building has awesome views!
