We came to Mustor's Restaurant on the recommendation of a taxi driver when we said we wanted to sample some local food. We had the flying fish with macaroni pie, as well as the chicken stew with cou-cou. We also tried the local Banks Beer and the restaurant's freshly squeezed apple juice. Everything tasted absolutely great!
The restaurant could be easily overlooked, since it's located upstairs and the entrance is nothing more than a staircase next to another eating venue on the ground floor. In fact, we went into the ground floor take-away service (nothing to do with Mustor's) at first and was told to go upstairs - I guess we weren't the first lost tourists!
Once upstairs, the guy who worked behind the counter quickly recommended what we should have and with what side dishes, as well as recommending the drinks. When I said I wasn't sure I wanted the apple juice, he let me tried some for free and completely changed my mind - I've never had apple juice tasting so refreshing!
The restaurant itself isn't glamorous, filled with plastic chairs and very little decorations. But the food is genuinely good, staff was friendly, and the bathroom was very clean. Definitely worth going to Mustor's if you visit Bridgetown!
