“Great view! More of a place to drink than a lunch place.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2009

Okay, so to be fair, we ate here Christmas Eve, for lunch. Two adults, two kids. The view from the balcony is awesome, a great place to make pics if I'd brought my camera.
Our kids were hungry, you know that hungry kid 'I'm starved' thing.
It took us an hour after we ordered to get our food. They were out of macaroni pie. They were also out of chicken, but we got the end of it. It's good, but expensive. A long wait to get water refilled. They sell the flying fish sandwich here, but it's expensive, and for a quarter of the price, you can get a better flying fish sandwich at a stand near Pebbles Beach (the stand closes at 6pm). That stand is walking distance from the Hilton & brown sugar & the beach is nice there.

“Bump and Wine Live Music Fridays”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2009

Well, I do not know about the food service at Bump and Wine, as I didn't order anything to eat when I went there, but, I have experienced Live Music Fridays there and it was loads of fun.

The bar/cafe is currently featuring one of Barbados finest new bands "Threads of Scarlet". The energy of the band is intoxicating and it turns the place into one of the liveliest Bridgetown spots to hang out in from 10pm to 12am every Friday. The blend of original music and cover songs was perfect, the two lead singers charming, and the sound quality was surprisingly good - not so surprising actually, since the owner of Bump and Wine, Allan Shepard, was the lead singer of his own band back in the days.

I do not know how long Threads of Scarlet is scheduled to play there, but, for anyone going to Bridgetown within the next few months, I would say: just stop by and give the Live Music Fridays at Bump and Wine a try. Meeting Allan Shepard and Threads of Scralet is definitely an experience you won't want to miss out on during your tour of Barbados.

“Worst Service We Have Ever Had !!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2009

My husband and I just got back from Barbados 2 days ago. We went to Bridgetown a couple of times. This place is located in a prime location, and we had already eaten at "Waterfront Cafe" (which was great). So we decided to try Bump and Wine, which is located on the second floor above the cafe. Beautiful scenery, however, our servers, (and there were 3) had the very worst attitudes of any servers we have ever had. In the caribbean, a 15% gratuity is added no matter how bad the service is, however we always tip more to at least a 20 %, But this is once we wished we could take tip away. We do not expect alot, but we do expect a hello, or a smile, anything except..."What do you want? " and that is all we got besides the crappy food we ended up with. Our servers acted as though we had interruped their day off. We were not the only people to have this experience, the table in front of us, and the table behind us also had the same servers with the same attitudes. Do yourself a favor go to the Waterfront Cafe, much better food, and great view, and alot better service.

“Avoid at all costs!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2009

We spent a gorgeous week in Barbados and .... drum roll ... the 'Bump and Wine Cafe' was by far clearly the worst restaurant we ate at! It is genuinely a 'tourist trap', as it is perfectly located at the heart of the Bridgetown harbour. The food, if you can call it 'food' at all, is repulsive, as is the service! Although, on a positive note, the view of the harbour is incredible - so if you do decide to take a break, just order something to drink!!!
