Just returned from another fantastic holiday at LGH. The food at the FishPot restaurant, is amongst the best you'll find at the island, and the location in a coral fort overhanging the sea is unbeatable. It was great to see the same staff again, who are extremely friendly, cheerful and helpful, and greeted us as old friends. Our children (6 and 3) have had the same person babysitting for them for the last 3 years, and really look forward to seeing her. We stay in the fort suite, which is above the restaurant. This has the most amazing view, particularly from the terrace, complete with outdoor shower, sunloungers and dining table. This is a fantastic place for a meal, if you can bear to miss one at the FishPot. The rooms all have full kitchens which we find invaluable when travelling with small children. We cannot recommend LGH enough if you are looking for a relaxed, quiet, stylish hotel on an unspoilt part of the west coast.

I travelled to LGH for a 11 day break with my mum for her birthday. From the moment we arrived, the service we received was perfect. We wanted somewhere that was quiet, unfussy and as far from an all-inclusive resort as we could find! We stayed in one of the two bedroom suites and it was wonderful! The bedrooms are extremely comfortable, the bathrooms are spotlessly clean and the hotel was very quiet. We were greeted by Andrew (the owner) and then treated to a rum punch overlooking the sea... Paradise! The Fish Pot restaurant is sublime and again, the service is spot on! We ate at all the top restaurants on the island and to be honest, the Fish Pot was probably the best of the lot (ok, maybe The Cliff came first, but at the prices they charge, you would hope so!!!). If I was being picky, I would say that the mosquitoes were a nightmare and the lounge area is unconditioned so we got bitten a fair bit... That said, LGH supply you with mozzie killer and sprays so it really is a very small point.
If you stay at LGH, you will not be dissapointed - as long as you are not wanting entertaining! A rental car is a must - we tried the buses once and that was enough!

I cannot recommend Little Good Harbour enough!
Graham helped me plan the trip before I went down to the littlest detail - organising travel from and to the airport and helping plan day trips too. Nothing was too much trouble. Having not been to Barbados myself before it was like having your very own tour guide!
The accommodation was perfect...very spacious and clean. The Fish Pot restaurant was wonderful for the first evening there - beautiful location and very reasonably priced.
I would recommend this hotel if you want a trouble free holiday in Barbados. The hotel has everything you need and if doesn't then Graham will be able to provide it for you!
I would definitely book here again.

Andrew & Graham run a superb hospitable and unfussy inn.

We stayed for three nights and were very impressed by this well established inn. The new three bedroom suites are spacious and well equipped (though i would put a clock in the bedroom) with good air conditioning and quality fittings. The main bathroom was a joy with a bath that sits in front of (open in our case) windows where one could soak and commune with nature. The wet room shower was also excellent. The king bed was made for sleeping on! We are light sleepers and any road noise concerns of ours were efficiently dealt with when we booked. Just discuss the issue with Andrew or Graham and you will not be disturbed.

The property have built an additional swimming pool (it must have been cramped before as the smaller pool is just that...small) and it was a joy to swim in. The small beach was not in residence during our visit (it moves by the season - tides are a wonderful thing!) but a short stroll away was another sandy cove where one can swim and soak.

The Fish Pot restaurant over the road from the cottages has a personal feel to it and offers good food, eclectic wines and an intimate setting. The staff are very efficient and deserve to be complimented. The coffee is some of the best I have tasted outside of Europe, and I co-own an inn in Vermont which prides itself on good coffee! For once Michael Winner has to be complimented with his taste and review!!!

I would not visit Barbados in the busy winter season as it must be over full, with too much wealth and I hear a few British "county" folks who one would try and avoid by the pool, but out of season the island is a treasure and you can really escape the crowds.

We took a lunch trip to the Round House Inn on the north coast and found a great location, good food and a wonderful way to laze away for an afternoon.

The island feels prosperous and the Bajan's are wonderful friendly people, if one could only say the same for land owning Brits from the home counties!
