We spent our 25th at Pompano and while the rooms are nothing special, they are clean, and the bathroom very large, the view from our private patio was amazing. The room had a musty smell but the private beach, owner and staff attention to detail was worth the price. The food was good and the entertainment (dj and piano player) low key. On the managers swizzle night, his young daughter served the snacks while the owners poured and re-poured drinks before the cook out. They make you feel special and not like your staying at a big hotel. The snorkleing off the private beach is great. If your looking for a relaxing, casual, vacation this is the place, and we will be back.

We just returned (July 9th) from 6 fantastic days at the Pompano Beach Club. This was our 3rd trip to Bermuda, but the first time with kids and the first visit in 13 years. Our first two trips we spent at Coco Reef and we now know that we missed out on a lot of fun by staying there instead of Pompano!
Pompano is run by two of the nicest guys you will ever meet - Larry and Tom Lamb. They seemed to be everywhere - always making sure that everyone was having a great time and had their needs met. They made it feel like we were staying at a B & B rather than a beach resort. The atmosphere was so much more relaxed than at Coco Reef and this much appreciated.
We had always wished to return to Bermuda, but hesitated due to the fact that we were concerned that it was not kid friendly and was very formal. Well, we were proven wrong. Our kids had a ball and we were more relaxed than any vacation that we have ever taken. again, this is due to the casual and relaxed nature of this resort.
The rooms are very nice and very clean - not super luxurious, but we didn't care because we spent so little time in them. And the views are SPECTACULAR! The entire resort feels like it is hanging out over a cliff into the most beautiful turquoise water that you will ever see. And the beach. while very small, was more fun than we ever imagined. I saw it advertised on the Pompano Web site as the "Best Underwater Beach in the World" and that is so true. You can basically swim out 400 yards at low tide and still touch the bottom! It feels like you are in a huge swimming pool!
The Food was also very good - not spectacular, but very good. We particularly enjoyed the variety and the choice of two restaurants with fantastic views of the Ocean.

Suffice it to say that we will be going back to Bermuda and Pompano will be our choice! We met many people who were return visitors and we can now see why.

My wife and I spent the first week in July (2009) at Pompano Beach Club to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. This was our first trip to Bermuda and we could not have been more pleased. The Pompano Beach Club setting is magnificent; the service impeccable; the food outstanding...our experience definitely exceeded every expectation. The entire atmosphere is just so warm and inviting, thanks to the Lamb family and their dedicated, friendly staff. We met some great folks and in fact we were one of just a few "first timers". There is absolutely no question, that we, too, will be repeat guests. We also like the "small" atmosphere at Pompano and yet felt that the amenities were comparable to a larger size property. The beach is fantastic, well maintained, and all extras are available (umbrellas, lounge chairs, floats) at no extra charge. Our experience was truly one of the best vacations we have ever had. Pompano Beach Club is top of the line in every way; we cannot say enough good things. There's really nothing we would have changed. We stayed in a Deluxe Room overlooking the ocean (#18)

My Husband and I just returned on July 11th after a 6 night stay at Pompano. We have been to Bermuda 8 times, but this was our first at Pompano. We have stayed at Cambridge Beaches, 9 Beaches, etc. They are all nice in their own ways, but none of them can touch Pompano. The staff is exceptional and the owners are down to earth and treat you like family. The property location is not too remote, but not too busy either. It's perfect. The grounds are beautiful and the food was fantastic. It does cost a bit more to stay here, but you get what you pay for. For those who are unsure of where to stay, this place is a safe bet!
