“Already Booked for 2014”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2013

Thank you to Tom & Larry and their great staff for yet another great and kindhearted stay. We have already booked our trip for the end of Oct 2014.

I think everyone before has already stated the facts about how focused everyone is at this resort in concentrating on how they can make your stay memorable. This includes, George, Gabby, CC, Lynn, Nick, Kevin, Anthony, the interns and Lorrain at the front desk along with others I haven't mentioned. Overall a great stay!

Awkwardly, even though we had a great stay and give Pompano a 5 Star rating, there is something others who are thinking about coming to Pompano may want to rethink about visiting during certain times of the year? That involves times when groups come and stay as Golfing Groups. While we were there this year and knowing ahead of time part of our stay would be during the Couple Golfing (52 People), we had no idea what we would encounter but what became even more frustrating was that two separate Golfing Groups would be staying the following week with 24 people from Canada and a group of 40 women golfers from England.

Now I understanding the Lamb’s have a business to run and do a fantastic job in doing so, the last thing any business owner wants to do is turn any business away and I know that if I own this resort, I would approach the same business plan that both Tom & Larry do, but I also understand the last thing people want to do is be on vacation and have a portion of a large group of people being loud, obnoxious and downright rude thinking they are the only people there , while others struggle to enjoy themselves because of others actions. And even though I’m going to give some credence that most of these groups probable don't realize that even though they are there to enjoy themselves, others also have come to Pompano to enjoy themselves. These same vacationers stay at Pompano, hoping that their vacation or extraordinary occasion will be just as special as others have received over the years.

My annotations are in no way an effort to change anybody’s mind about staying at Pompano; in fact it’s a compliment to the commentaries others have shared before. If you do stay at Pompano, you will be treated first class and without a doubt have an incredible stay. II only bring caution to those that are thinking about vacationing at Pompano that you may want to inquiry if any large groups will be staying when you’re looking to book your stay because if you don’t, you may be surprise to find out that there are people in this world that feel they are entitled because they are paying as a group.

As people of this world, we need to remember that people and vacationers come to Pompano for vacation and their special occasion and not to become occupied by a group of people who feel it’s OK to overwhelm the resort with their loud hullabaloo during breakfast, lunch, dinner, at the pool or just in the lounge after dinner and not be considerate of others who to are sharing that space.

Again, we thank Tom, Larry, Tim, Kevin and others for a fantastic stay. We have adjusted our schedule and look forward to next year’s stay without the hullabaloo along with others we meet during our stay!

Just got back from our second trip to Pompano Beach Hotel - even better this time. Fabulous friendly service, terrific location, beautiful swimming and beach area, good food, great rooms, all this and the magnificant Port Royal Golf Club within a wedge shot. Thanks to Larry and Tim and all the staff from the 40 players on the Port Royal Women & Golf Bermuda Trophy.

Room Tip: There isn't a bad room in the hotel, all have excellent views are spacious and well equipped.

This Fall, we spent a delightful week celebrating our 50th anniversary; Pompano Beach deserves most of the credit. This was our 5th trip to Bermuda, but first with Pompano. We will NEVER stay anywhere else - why would you? As has been unanimously documented in virtually each and everyTripadvisor review, Pompano deserves its superior rating in all aspects of the hospitality industry standards of performance. Location, accommodation, food, service, attention to detail, - all are impeccably handled. But what really sets Pompano apart is its staff. All are genuinely warm, friendly, willing - from the moment you arrive until you depart - always with ease and grace - never intrusive.
Of equal importance, this resort is family owned and the Lamb family is onsite and clearly care about their resort and their guest's experience. Bermuda's finest in our opinion

My wife and I stayed at Pompano in early November,as part of a group of 25 golfers, mostly couples, from our Golf Club. We were greeted and given a tour of the resort by Tom Lamb, while the staff delivered our luggage and golf clubs to our rooms. Our package included breakfast and dinner and our meals were delicious. The menu changed often and there were always several choices at each sitting. We must commend the wait staff in both dining rooms and the lunch restaurant. They always made dining fun and we shared many laughs. Though we were only there for a week, the staff catered to individuals as though they had known them for a long time. Special thanks to George and Madree. We shared many laughs together. The reception staff was also top notch, with Larry Lamb stating a great example. They helped us with a shuttle to the grocery store and to the bus stop and they also arranged a taxi tour for us. Bus, ferry and taxi are the main modes of transport. Rental cars are not available and scooter rentals are not for the faint of heart since the roads are so unlike what we have at home. The beach is wonderful....all sand and the water was lovely and warm, even in November. I took a nice video of the resort, standing in the water near the raft. If you are golfing, play most of your games at Port Royal. Wonderful golf course in great condition and you can play the same course that the pros play in the Grand Slam. It is also right beside the Resort. We also played at Belmont Hills(muddy and not great shape) and Riddells Bay ( nice course, short, over seeded greens with more sand on them than was in the bunkers). Some of our group also played at Tucker's Point(good track according to them) and Mid Ocean looks great but is a bit pricey at $250.
We loved our Bermuda experience. The people are so friendly...everyone says good morning with a smile and I would too if I lived there. We will definitely return to Bermuda and to Pompano Beach Club.

We have been to Pompano Beach Club in Bermuda before, so we knew what to expect - the beautiful rooms all with sea views and the excellent food. However, what we have found so exceptional is the friendliness of all the staff, most of whom know you by name. Pompano is owned by the Lamb family, who have created a real family atmosphere. The reception staff are always so pleased to see you and that is also so in the dining rooms. All the other staff take the trouble to be friendly and you really get the feeling of being part of one big, happy family. Everyone goes out of their way to make your holiday enjoyable and that is probably why they have so many return guests. If are visiting lovely Bermuda and you have not been to Pompano, we recommend a visit. Robin & Di.

The Pompano Beach Club in Bermuda is officially one of my favorite places! My husband & I spent a long weekend here with my sister and brother-in-law. We had a wonderful time. Tom, the owner, was awesome! He helped me book our rooms and explained the best way to get from the airport to the hotel and also set up someone to bring rental scooters to us at the hotel. From the beginning of our stay both he and James greeted us by first name and were always willing to help us out with anything & everything. James even drove us to a grocery store to pick up few things. The hotel was beautiful, the rooms were a nice size with a sitting area and a balcony big enough for 2 lounge chairs and a table. The view from our room was breathtaking. The resort is built on a hill so it looked like most of the rooms looked out to the ocean. There was a lovely pool area with a hot tub and bar along with a private beach with pink sand. The food was very good, we had breakfast & dinner included with our plan and everything we had was delicious. I strongly recommend going with the inclusive meals. The waiters and waitress were all very polite and friendly. The Pompano resort is beautiful, but what really sets it apart from other places I have stayed was how friendly and polite everyone was. We can't wait to go back!

We had an amazing time at Pompano Beach club! We stayed there for our honeymoon and loved every minute of it. All of the staff were exceedingly nice, helpful, and made our trip to Bermuda simply amazing. The resort itself is beautiful; it made for some wonderful photos and memories. We stayed in a deluxe room with an ocean view which was breath-taking. If you can appreciate the natural beauty of the Atlantic Ocean, this is a perfect room for you. Being able to see it while laying on your bed first thing in the morning is a beautiful thing. The sand on their beach is perfect; the ocean water is crystal clear and fairly warm. In late October it was slightly warmer than the temperature of a typical indoor pool. We chose not to get their honeymoon package, even though we’re sure it would have been great. Instead we got an inexpensive meal plan add on that was well worth it. It included food for Breakfast and Dinner at the resort, and the food itself is excellent. We didn’t have every meal at the resort and it was still worth getting. There is a new dinner menu every night, very friendly service staff, and great ocean views from both restaurants. They seem to have something going on every night, or if you want to get out in the town there is plenty to do on the island. Scooter rentals are practically on site, but we chose to do most of our travel by cab/bus as we weren’t very experienced and the roads are a little tricky… There are no rental cars available to tourists anywhere on the island as there simply isn’t enough space for that many extra cars on the roads. For residents there is a limit of 1 car per household, for good reason…You can buy bus tokens at the front desk and the Pompano staff drive you to and from the bus stop. Cab fair is reasonable, it was about $40 to get to Crystal/Fantasy Caves which is pretty much on the absolute opposite side of the island. If you want to get some snacks, liquor, or other basic sorts of things, Pompano staff will drive you to a nearby store. There is not a single thing we can complain about. If you have determined that Bermuda is the right type of place for you to come, then Pompano would be a great choice for you as it captures the friendly, beautiful, relaxing, and refreshing ambiance of Bermuda.

Room Tip: We had an upper level Deluxe room, which was perfect. In those rooms you can see the beautiful Atlan...
