We just spent a week at Pompano. It is our 5th time returning to the resort, and it has gotten better each time. Of course, the views, food and rooms were excellent but the service and care of the staff and the owners were extraordinary. We have stayed at other hotels in Bermuda, but this place is special.

We just spent 10 fabulous days at Pompano. The beach is fantastic and we saw all kinds of beautiful fish snorkeling right at the resort. The advantage is it is so convenient to walk back to your room when you are done. The view from the deck each day made it so you never wanted to leave. The staff was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to accommodate you. The owners were always around and made you feel right at home. The food was fantastic. I would highly recommend staying at Pompano for a one of a kind experience.

I have been to 42 countries and we NEVER go back to the same hotel when we revisit an area. We like the variety of staying in different places. But this is our 5th time in this hotel. Why?
1. The staff seems to be hired based on friendliness and the uncanny ability to remember your face. When they greet you after not having seen you for two years....you get a truly genuine response..... like you were there just yesterday.
2. An on-site owner (Tom and Larry Lamb) who really seem to take an interest in you as a person. Even if you scare the crap out of him with a fake snake.
3. We stayed in room 93. Just doesnt get any better than that. Views like no where else.
4. Regarding the food. If you are a foodie who is uber-picky about presentation then you may have some issues with it. I hate to even write this as it sounds like a knock but the reality is we ate at Blu and had a 10/10 scale meal, we ate at Coconuts (the Reefs) and had a 9/10 meal and we ate at Pompano and had a 8/10 meal. Breakfast has not changed in 10 years but it is hearty and pretty much whatever you want. I too would like to see a new breakfast menu.
5. The beach is amazing in a smaller scale kinda way with a grand scale wading experience like no other. If you are an open swimmer, there is nothing else like this on the planet. And I am not exaggerating.

Just returned from our 12th (I think) time at Pompano, maybe 13th! We thoroughly enjoy Pompano, the people, the beach, the location. We were lucky enough to have low tide during our entire time there which meant that we could enjoy the sand bar each day...and we loved it! My only concern following this trip is that I have grown bored with the menus. The breakfast menu has not changed since we first went there. Although there are several choices, I need more! I love dining outdoors at the Cedar Room and enjoy the Ocean Grill, but the dinner and dessert choices remain the same year after year. Each year before leaving I faithfully filled out the suggestion information, but none of my suggestions have ever been taken so this year I skipped it. I do want to mention George who was the best and most attentive member of the wait staff. Larry and Tom, I hope you know how fortunate you are to have him. Lynn, Glenda, Covert, Clairmont and Clay were also good. However, there are one or two others who I would not want to wait on me again! Please, take a look at your menus and make some changes so I can continue with the MAP plan.

Thanks so much for your loyal patronage over the years! We are always receptive to feedback from our guests and many of the enhancements we've made to our resort over the recent years have been the direct result of feedback from our guests. Our Ocean Grill restaurant's menu has been updated/tweaked every year since we opened the restaurant seven years ago. We'll continue to feature our most popular menu items and will look to change those items that aren't as popular.

Even though we do offer a wide variety of items on our breakfast menu, we are actually planning to make some revisions to it prior to next season (and will be introducing some new breakfast items). Hopefully we'll be fortunate enough to welcome you back in the near future so that you can see some of the updates we'll have made.

Regards,

Tom Lamb

If you are looking for a beautiful island get away, Bermuda has it all and so much more. When in Bermuda the best place to stay by far is the Pompano Beach Club Resort. If you have been to Bermuda before and stayed somewhere else, you have not experience what Bermuda is all about. If this is your first trip to Bermuda and you choose the Pompano, you will return.

The first thing to know when you are planning your Bermuda vacation, do Not believe the weather reports. TWC will tell you that it is partly cloudy with chance of showers every day. In our two trips to Bermuda, partly cloudy has been fluffy white clouds blowing by on a warm ocean breeze. Chance of Showers has meant usually watching a small black cloud at some distance away raining down on the ocean, or less occasionally we would have to take a 5 min break from the sun and sit under an umbrella while the warn light rain past by and the sun returned.

Second, don’t waste time looking at the other big name resorts on the island. Pompano Beach Club has everything that you could ever want. When you land at the airport you will take a shuttle across the island away from all the hustle and bustle of the airport. As you ride past the quaint pastel homes and see the swaying palm trees, you will start to smell the perfumed aroma of the tropical flowers and you will know that you are in paradise. When the shuttle turns left and enters the long drive toward the Pompano and your own private beach front get away, you will feel all your stress blow away in the breeze.

When you walk into the quaint front door of the Pompano you will be personally greeted by The Lamb family and their first rate staff. By the time you leave you will call them all by their first names and you will know them as friends. But the first time you enter the door of the Pompano it is not the people that will grab your attention, it will be the view. From the front desk you will be drawn to the floor to ceiling windows that over look an emerald ocean with tropical fish swimming by and the soft pink sand on the private Pompano Beach that will be calling to you.
While staying at the Pompano you really don’t need to go anywhere else unless you want to. The Pompano has everything that the big resorts have and so much more.

There are two fine dining restaurants, the Cedar Room, where you can dine inside or out, overlooking the ocean for breakfast or dinner and the Ocean Grill for dinner with a very elegant atmosphere and an absolutely spectacular view. Lunch at the Coral Reef Café is open and airy and always delicious. You see the same smiling warm friendly staff doing everything they can to please you in every way. After dinner, the lounge is always a fun place to be. Every night it is hopping with great local talent.

If you want to explore the rest of the island the staff at Pompano will help you in any way they can. They will take you to the local store for any supplies you want for your stay. Or they will plan your scooter rental, they also have bus and ferry passes you can purchase and they will give you a ride to and from the nearest bus or ferry stop. They will arrange a taxi with one of the many self employed taxi drivers on the island. These native Bermudians will take you anywhere you want to go and give you a guided tour on the way.

Your tough decisions during your stay will be whether to walk down the stairs to your private beach, relax in one of the pools or hot tubs overlooking the ocean open 24 hours or try the game rooms, exercise room, or just hide in one of the many get away and relax areas with a book or watch the game on a big screen TV. If your relaxing include partaking of Bermuda’s famous rum or any other of your favorite drinks, there is a bar poolside and a cute little shack on the beach where the bartender will pamper you while you sip your drink sitting in your beach chair listening to the ocean softly touching the sand.

You can take the short path to the boat house and rent kayaks or other fun water sports. You will defiantly want to get a set of goggles and snorkel. You will be amazed at the beautiful tropical fish you will just a few feet from shore. At low tide you can walk all along the shore on the massive sand bar and if you want to explore further, there are two platforms that you can swim to and just beyond that is a amazing coral reef all yours without ever leaving the Pompano.
There is also an excellent spa to unwind and relax with a picture perfect ocean view.

Yes the Pompano has everything you can possible want but what makes it so much better than all the other resorts is what it doesn’t have. It does not have crowds of people with long lines waiting for dinner or pool chairs. It doesn’t have nameless staff with dreadful service.

Staying at the Pompano is like having your own Oceanside mansion in paradise. Each time we leave the Pompano we are planning our next trip back.

Room Tip: we have stayed in porpoise perch in a superior room and a one bedroom suite. we loved both of them...

We just returned from a very nice 6 night stay at Pompano. We had room #14 [deluxe] which was very nice and convenient to the restaurant, pool and other activities. We had the meal plan that included breakfast and dinner. The food was excellent with a nice variety to choose from. The staff is very cordial and willing to help in any way possible. We spent 1/2 day reef fishing and caught a variety of fish. The water and beach are fantastic. A person has to be able to climb quite a number of steps to access the beach and back. Fantastic view from the room, restaurant, and almost everywhere on the property.
For a week before we went, I checked Weather.com daily for upcoming weather conditions in Bermuda. They forecast rain and clouds each day for our stay. The weather was great and not anything as Weather.com predicted. The hotel people in Bermuda find weather.com to be inaccurate most of the time and want vacationers to call them directly for weather conditions. They say weather for Bermuda can only be predicted a few days in advance anyway. So, don't necessarily believe the weather as predicted by weather.com.
We hope to go back soon.

So we left and went to the Reefs were they were happy to accomadate us, So Pompano you lost out on $250.00 and I wont be back.

We regret that cheese, crackers & fruit are not offered in our main cocktail lounge. Some hotels offer pub-like snacks/food items in their bars and others (like us) don't. We all offer different things. We do happen to offer some of the most reasonably priced beverages/cocktails on the island and dramatic ocean & sunset views. I'm sorry that you felt you needed to ask three different people about our policy - only to receive the same answer from each of them.

Fortunately you were able to get your cheese & crackers from another venue (although I hope you didn't really have to spend $250 for them!!). Sorry we weren't able to provide you with what you were looking for.

Cordially,

Tom Lamb
