Usually stay at a larger resort in Bermuda but decided to try one of these smaller ones. The hotel is located right on the water which has a gorgeous view of the blue Bermuda waters. The hotel was quite empty due to the recession but the staff was so good to us. The food was excellent. Ate one dinner, one lunch and several breakfasts and every meal was out of this world. Chef's are talented. Lobby quite attractive. Conceirge was convenient to use for dinner, taxi and golf reservations. Pool area very attractive. Located right next door to Elbow Beach Resort which was nice so we could often run over there for a change . Enjoyed their two restaurants also. No entertainment at this resort but Elbow supplied it. Walked 45 minutes to Hamilton twice. Ten minute taxi ride. Really got to meet a lot of Bermudians since many work at the hotel. Quite interesting stories they shared with us about Bermuda. You don't get that experience at the larger resorts. Sometimes we would run into the staff on our walks. so friendly.

We just got back, glorious week! Walked the beach everyday and we were so glad that our resort was at the end of Elbow Beach. Very lovely walk early in the morming and at the end of the day! Restaurant food was out of this world! We took advantage of the meal plan for most of our stay, but dined out to try local restaurants and found "The Paraquet" just up the road to be a nice casual change. Bus access was perfect at short walk to the main road. The 2 day bus pass lets you ride all bus routes & Ferry trips for a reasonable cost, as compared to a taxi ride and you see beautiful scenery along the way.
The staff was pleasant and met our every need. We had one rainy day, but the trip was a dream!
We will definately return!

The Great- The hotel has an awsome setting right on a beautiful stretch of beach. Excellent swimming, walking, jogging, etc. Also it really is graet to be so close to Hamilton for evening excursions, escepially if you do not want to eat at the hotel every night.
The Good- The food at the hotel was quite good. We had 2 lunches, dinner and desert. One tip for thrifty travelers is the Paraquete dinner up the road. Good option. The service was a mixed bag but mostly very accomidating.
The Bad- The price. The over physical appearance of the hotel is nice. It is not 4 star luxury/elegant. Mimor complaint given this is Bermuda.
The Ugly- Only one. The Tennis Courts. Rough shape. I understand they are going to tear them down and build Condos.

We just returned last week from a four day vacation in Bermuda and stayed at Coco Reef for the first time. We had always stayed at larger hotels. The staff was very attentive and friendly. They promptly fulfilled any requests. The hotel is lovely and is so close to the beach. We were steps away from the two restaurants located on Elbow Beach, Mickey's and The SeaBreeze. Dinner at Coco Reef was excellent, but the menu did not change while we were there for four nights. There were only four entrees offered. The
breakfasts were very good. Since we did not have a meal plan, we only had dinner at Coco Reef one night and lunch there one day. The food is very good at Coco Reef, but
if you want more variety, you may want to bypass the meal plan. We had excellent dinners at the Waterlot Inn in Southampton and the Seahorse Grill and Mickey's at Elbow Beach.
The hotel was not full and the staff and wait service people were wonderful. I would
definitely return to Coco Reef next year for my 11th trip to Bermuda.

My fiance' and I initially chose Coco Reef as a honeymoon destination. We subsequently decided to get married on Bermuda as well and chose to have the ceremony arrangements handled through the wedding service offered by the resort. It was a little unnerving making such important plans by e-mail and internet, but the staff at the resort quickly made us feel comfortable that the wedding would live up to our hopes. As it turned out, our expectations were exceeded! Even though it was a small ceremony, the staff made us feel like the world revolved around us. In fact, everyone involved, from the pastor to the photographer; were wonderful and we quickly developed a great rapport. We were able to choose our "own" spot for the wedding and had it right on the beach. The resort was beautiful, just the right size, and was in a wonderful location. It was ten minutes from Hamilton, yet seemed in it's own world once you were there. Our oceanfront room had a stunning view and the restaurant served food among the best we found on the island. But most of all, I can't say enough about the staff. Everyone was kind, helpful and eager to offer advice and information that helped tremendously in maximizing our enjoyment of the island. From suggesting dining locations and making dinner reservations to arranging scooter rentals, the staff was sincerely intent on helping make our honeymoon everything we dreamed it would be. If you are headed to Bermuda and want a beautiful, quiet resort setting with a personal touch, I would highly reccomend Coco Reef. My wife and I will never forget it! Thanks Jude!
