We stayed at the Coco Reef last fall. We got a web special for around $225 a night, which is cheap for Bermuda. I researched the place pretty thoroughly before going there, reading dozens of TripAdvisor reviews, mostly good but with a few complainers. After three nights there I found nothing to complain about unless you were really fussy. The location was great; if you took off running from my room you could be in the sea within a minute. Some rooms are closer to the beach than others but pretty much all of them face the water with a good view. The furnishings in my room weren't really new but they were all clean and in good repair. There's a slight dampness in the air but that is unavoidable that close to the beach. I didn't see any of the ant or bug problems that a few reviewers mentioned. The service was pretty good and the maids were especially friendly. We had a 1-year-old baby with us and everything was convenient for strollers and other baby needs. The beach there is awesome although you do have to be careful about a few rocks out in the water here and there. There's a pretty good grocery store (for Bermuda) a short walk away and buses are easy to catch. I'd like to have seen more in-house eating choices; the hours and menu were fairly limited and we ended up eating at the hotel only once or twice. It was easy to eat at the beachfront at the hotel next door but it was super expensive. There is a locally run restaurant about a mile or so away that we ate at a lot for breakfast and lunch but they don't have any alcoholic drinks. The Swizzle Inn is a bit farther, a little too far to walk conveniently, but was great for drinks and socializing and the food was also good. All in all, I was quite satisfied with our Coco Reef experience and will probably stay there again the next time we go to Bermuda (if I don't do a timeshare exchange instead).
