My husband and I stayed at Elbow Beach Resort at the end of April as part of a business trip. We stayed in a beach view room which had a nice sitting area with two lounge chairs for a great view of the ocean. Our room was spacious, clean and contemporary in design. The housekeeping staff does a superb job and are some of the most cordial I have ever encountered. The front desk staff was courteous, efficient and helpful with a late check out request. The concierge desk attendant was also very helpful with off site activities and arranging taxis for us. The beach area was quiet but staff was attentive and always there to offer a towel for our beach chairs. Mickey's restaurant has a magnificent view if the peaceful ocean and tasty choices for lunch and dinner. We ate there multiple times and were happy with our meals and drinks. The Lido Restaurant was also an excellent choice for dinner with fresh fish choices and a great filet mignon. Breakfast at the Lido terrace area offered a wonderful early morning view of Elbow beach. Fitness Center was small but clean with some cardio equipment. Pool was quiet due to cool weather but water was pleasantly warm! A great place to bring a book and relax away from the wind. I would highly recommend this resort to other couples as well as families as it seemed to be child friendly. I recommend an ocean view room for the best views of the water.

Room Tip: Ocean view is a must for those seeking a peaceful sunrise and gorgeous views of the water.

My husband and I just returned from our first trip to Bermuda. This trip was extremely important to us because we were leaving our 5 month old baby for the first time. I had done hours of research on where to stay in Bermuda and because of some of the negative comments listed on Trip Advisor decided to stay at hotel other than Elbow Beach. As soon as we checked into this hotel we were unhappy. It just wasn't the experience we were hoping for. So, we spent Friday evening there and Saturday morning got up to explore. We took our scooter around the island and ended up at Elbow Beach late afternoon because I just wanted to see if the reviews were true or if we were missing out on something. Well as soon as we pulled in on our scooters it was obvious we had made the wrong choice. The property is absolutely beautiful and the beach is the nicest we have ever seen. They have these amazing restaurants right on the beach and then one over looking the beach. We sat and had a cocktail while we discussed our bad decision. We were so disappointed by our decision that I started talking with the staff people there about it and randomly while ordering a drink at the bar met a Bermuda travel agent specialist (her name is Linda Mitchell at Bermuda travel highly, highly recommend using her!!) who happen to be staying there. Linda immediately said you have to be happy and enjoy your short trip and insisted something had to be done. She went down to the new General Manager, Ed Burns, and explained our situation. Right away Ed made arrangements for us to have a beautiful room with a discounted rate and complementary breakfast. They set up a taxi to take us back to the other hotel to get our bags and then took us back to our new room at Elbow Beach. Luckily because of their help the other hotel refunded us and we were able to make the switch. I have never been anywhere that people have been so helpful and welcoming. The new management is doing a great job, and we cannot say enough wonderful things about them.
Yes, it is true that the main hotel is not being used right now but it does not impact your stay at all. You still get to use everything on the property as well as the spa which is in the main hotel. The spa was AMAZING - a must do. Right now all of the cottages on the property are where people stay - they are closer to the water and recently renovated - very clean and nice with water views!
The new management has HUGE plans for this hotel and we are excited to return.
This was a long way of saying, reviews are not always accurate and you should check things out first hand!!

I have been going to Bermuda for twenty-five years. The travel board has extended the tourist season. This caused the rise in Hotel & Food prices on the island. Elbow Beach Hotel has jumped on this band wagon and increased room prices accordingly. Yes the hotel is famous as the most luxurious hotel on the island but how much time do you spend in your room. I will return to Bermuda and love this island. I will never stay at this hotel and pay inflated rooms prices!

Room Tip: Search for another Hotel. I really like Grotto Bay Hotel but that is really out of the way. The beac...

Our family has stayed at Elbow Beach eleven times in the past 12 years. Our original idea was to find a quiet place with its own private beach - a place for parents and kids. We wanted Bermuda itself to be the main attraction. After our first visit, we decided to come back as many times as possible.

Cut to today - We have two teenagers who have grown up knowing, respecting and appreciating Bermuda and Elbow's wonderful staff (they are the core asset of the place!). Each year in April we are welcomed back as members of the Elbow Beach family. Although we've seen most of island's sites many times (the Aquarium, Under Water Institute, Dockyards, St. Georges, scooter rentals from Elbow Beach Cycles on property, etc.), we look forward to returning. This year, we did very little except for some exciting deep sea fishing and the Caves. We spent most of our time at the hotel....enjoying the food from Lido, the beach and pool with periodic excursions for meals at some of the island's great restaurants.

We were also fortunate this year to be at Elbow Beach for Easter weekend and took advantage of Bermuda's annual tradition of making our own kites and flying them on the beach on Good Friday. Guests were provided with kite making materials on Thursday, including expert advise from the staff about the right way to make the tail and the paper 'hummers' which give the kite a buzzing sound while flying. Beaches around the island, including Elbow were filled with families enjoying their kites. It was such a lovely day and we were so happy to be there.

The new management is terrific and has already raised the customer service bar higher than its previously excellent level.

Elbow Beach is unique because it combines the best large ocean property on the island with old school Bermudian hospitality. Can't beat it. Highly recommended.

A true paradise! My husband and I just returned from a much needed weekend getaway. It's was absolutely perfect. Out of work Friday, on plane and having an amazing dinner by 9:15 at Elbow Beach resort and spa ,wow! We were met at the airport and had a great driver who gave us some history of Bermuda as well as events for the weekend. Upon arriving at Elbow beach the doorman and concierge greeted us and escorted us to our ocean view garden room. The room was perfect, appointed with everything you would need. Robe, slippers, bottled water, ...... Plus our bed was turned down each night and housekeeping twice daily. The beach was beautiful with turquoise water, pink sand , an attendant who brought you towels each day as well as lunch , and of course the traditional rum swizzle ! If you wanted something it was taken care of immediately and with a smile.
Our meals were wonderful! The restaurants are run independently from the hotel and the service was great in them too. The lido was elegant in presentation and taste with ocean views that cannot be matched. We were lucky to experience Mickey's grill that had just opened for the season and enjoyed beach front dining that was superb.
The spa is a true experience in itself. Everyone was extremely professional and experienced in the services. You are welcomed into your personal suite , yes suite. There you have a private dressing area which continues into the treatment room that has a relaxing stone tub and massage table overlooking the ocean, beautiful and relaxing .
I look forward to the main hotel reopening because it is has the charm of true bermuda elegance . It is a paradise of history and old world elegance of Bermuda. There are many private rooms for private gatherings to a cigar room for the gentleman and a room where I'm sure afternoon tea must again be served!! I want to return just for afternoon tea.
The new management is doing great things so far ,we look forward to visiting this summer with our family. I understand the kids club will be in full swing and on site are scooter rentals , our children will enjoy that as well as the local attractions and activities that our concierge was more than willing to organize for us. A true paradise at Elbow Beach .

Room Tip: All room seemed great , all close to beach but get the ocean view it's amazing!

The Elbow Beach resort is a jewel overlooking the Atlantic. This is a beachfront resort as opposed to some resorts which simply offer views and a shuttle bus to the beach. The main hotel building (not currently open) is adjacent to a beautiful pool. From there the property slopes gently down to the ocean and is dotted with small cottages offering the classic stepped, white Bermudian roofs. I found the staff to be incredibly helpful, friendly and sincere. Whatever you needed, it was provided with a smile. Further, you never had to going looking for staff, all were readily available. Equally important to us is cleanliness and I was not at all disappointed here. We stayed in one of the cottages. The room and bath were both tastefully decorated, modern, spotless and very comfortable in terms of size. A door lead out to a private patio which offered incredible ocean views. As I traveled around the resort, it seemed like a breathtaking view was always available. The resort is serviced by three restaurants. We dined in all three and again found the staff to be incredibly gracious and professional. The food was excellent, although not inexpensive. The resort offers a beautiful beach and the beach staff were all friendly and helpful. Scooters can be rented within the resort and my wife and I rode into Hamilton one afternoon which was great. Be careful though as they drive on the wrong side of the road down there! This is a resort where you can be pampered if that is your choosing. I would highly recommend Elbow Beach and look forward to returning soon.

Room Tip: From what I could tell, almost all of the rooms offered an excellent view of the ocean. I believe th...

What a wonderful visit my family and I had at Elbow Beach.

Although the Mandarine is no longer there the (New Management is wonderful). Everyone was very friendly to my entire family. Even though there was not alot for the kids to do they had a great time and the mangement team said they are working on being more child friendly. (To my husband and I that is very important to use because we love having our children with us.) They also said they are bringing back the Kids club as they were decorating it as we were there. How nice.
They also have babysitting services if needed. My children also had a great time when we were eating at the Sea Breeze restaurant because they played soccor with all the other children. The day we were leaving Mickeys opened up. This restaurant is great and right on the beach as we had lunch our children had lunch and also built sandcastles.
The beach is beautiful, soft pink sand and bright blue water.

They also had a couple of weddings there while we were there. Wow how beautiful.

Houskeeping great, complimentary water and wonferful friendly staff.

Thank you again and can't wait to see all the new changes coming to Elbow Beach. Heard the hotel might be coming back. So Excited and bet the views will be unbeilavable.

Can't wait to come back.
