“Walk to Fort Hamilton and explore or just relax”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2013

My wife and I (60 yrs old) took a walk from the ferry terminal to the Fort. Perhaps 30 minutes, with manageable uphill most of the way. Beautiful place to relax and see the views. Well manicured with flowers inside the fort. Fort seems rather small until you go underground into the tunnels and the dry moat. I rather liked walking through the moat due to the vegetation making it seem like a jungle canyon.
Return trip was easier and poked along all the shops on Front St until we got back to the ferry.

“Great views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2013

Nice easy walk. Only about 10-15 mins from the main bus terminal. Quit place to relax. Not a whole lot to see. Can be easily done in 20 mins or so. It is worth a visit if for nothing else but the view..

Well worth a visit. Great views of the city and the great sound. Could do with some more information but great place to potter for an hour or so. Interesting tunnel network, watch you don't lose your children!!

“Very Historical”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013

I would give the top five reasons I liked this:
- The stunning views
- The history of slavery on Bermuda
- The history of sailing
- The beautifully restored commandant's house
- How quiet and how vast the grounds are

“Explorers Dream”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2013

Get out of the city for a bit and see the history of the most fortified island in the Atlantic. There are tunnels and gun alleys as well as a botanical garden in the protective moat below. Not only is this informative and historic, it also provides some of the best views of the city of Hamilton
