3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2012

Arriving in April to Bermuda the birdcage was not up and running - I was sorry I missed it.

“Worth a Picture”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2012

The Birdcage is a platform from which a Police Officer can be seen directing traffic. It is usually unmanned and tourists can go inside for a unusual picture opportunity. If an officer is there, he may be happy to join in the photograph - just ask.

“Things have changed”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2012

If ever there was an intersection in Bermuda that needed a police constable directing traffic, this is it. Forget about gazing at the Birdcage - concentrate on not getting run over by cars, trucks, and scooters coming from all directions. I've heard that they put a constable in for photos occasionally, but we went past every day, and it was empty every time.

“Tourist attraction”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2012

This has become a tourist attraction but years ago this was where a police officer stood and directed traffic on front street. Today one day of the week a police officer directs traffic so tourist can see and photograph this scene.Tourist also like to get in the bird cage and have their pictures taken.

“Picturesque”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2012

This is where the policemen used to stand to direct traffic in the days before traffic lights. I don't know if they do it everyday but you can still get a pic of a police officer probably Monday to Friday during the summer. There may be a set time but I don't know it, sorry. The blue building in the background is a beautiful old Victorian.
