“Lovely week”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago

St. George's Club is one or two bedroom units. Near town with all the amenities. Hurricane has left the back former golf course area littered with trees, but front units overlooking the harbor are lovely. Ask for a refurbished unit. Griffins is good food, great service, and the front desk staff is exceptional.. New restaurant in town called Tempest is fabulous. Will continue to cherish our visits.

We traded a prime week of "Timeshare" at the Von Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe Vermont (Christmas week) for an old and tired unit at The St Georges Club. Our view was of the airport radar station. The "Beach Club" was closed (never mentioned until we arrived). One is charged $60 a person upon arrival to insure that you'll visit the mediocre restaurant at least once. The patrons do not dress for dinner and therefore we sat next to people in T shirts as we tried to enjoy our $285.00 average meal under bright lights. Would never recommend this resort if one is looking for a classic "Bermuda" experience.

Sorry you did not enjoy the experience of The St. George's Club. If you had told us perhaps we may have been able to address some of your issues. It may have been we had just hit by two major storms when you visited so our focus was somewhat distracted in our clean up efforts.

To some of your specific points:
The view you seem to have zoomed in on is one of Fort George and Bermuda Harbour Radio. They control and monitor all shipping within approximately 300 miles of the island and control all search and rescue in the area including all vessels transitioning from the US to the Caribbean. The fort (and Harbour Radio) has been there for longer than The St. George's Club. We are working on all of the units and have updated about 50% to date with the balance to be completed in 2015. I do not know which unit you stayed in but it has had some updates but not the new sofa beds as is clear from the picture. The Beach Club is seasonal and that is mentioned in all our literature and RCI and II are aware of it and finally we do ask everyone to dress for dinner at Griffin's Bistro but unfortunately they do not always comply.

We hope that you will give us another try in the future if you manage to exchange into our resort again and allow us to show you The St. George's Club as viewed by the majority of the visitors.

The St Georges club in Bermuda exceeded our expectations… again.
The staff were extremely helpful and our holiday really seemed to matter to them.
The setting isn't just a World Heritage site, it is World Class facility. If you'd like to visit Paradise give The St George's club a try.

We've been owners at the club fior 4 yrs and look forward to it every year
We love our spot, the beach ,the restaurants and most of all the Bermudians are the nicest people we've encountered in our travels .
The island and the resort are a treasure to behold.

Room Tip: Upper 1 bedrooms villas. (no bugs). Overlooking the pool and harbour if possible? also has it's...

St Georges Club is a delightful and tranquil spot, secluded from the hustle and bustle of Bermuda, but still close enough so the rest of the island is in easy reach.
it is comprised of cottages dotted in delightful grounds and was the perfect spot for me and my wife on our recent visit. You don't just get a room, but a fully equipped cottage with its own kitchen so you really can treat this place like home. And being able to cook your own dinner is a great advantage when you need to give your wallet a rest!
The staff are brilliant and go out of their way to help. An additional pleasure is the gorgeous, unspoilt and quiet beaches on your doorstep. We loved it, will definitely come again and would recommend to anyone. Plus, their in-house restaurant is excellent, and their beachside restaurant "the beach house at blackbeards" is a must. Its probably the best spot on the island for sundowners and a delightful dinner. Forget the soulless and madly expensive places that dot the island and stay here instead. You wont regret it!

Room Tip: all rooms are great, but you can specify near the pool, or more quietly situated away from the centr...

Joe K.
Stayed October 4th to the 11th 2014.

My wife and I returned to Bermuda to celebrate our 40th anniversary. The last time we were there was on our honeymoon. We exchanged our timeshare for the St. Georges Club and after 6 months on a waiting list we were accepted. My wife mentioned to the reservations manager (Dee Dee Furbert) that it was a special anniversary and upon arriving we were blown away with the the suite she gave us (29B). We believe that the view from our ballcony overlooking the bay and east side of the town was the best of the resort and maybe the best in all Bermuda. The room was immaculate as were the grounds around the entire resort. They have a shuttle that takes you to the market and to the beach. A short walk down the hill and you are in town with many shops, and restaurants. For transportation we used the busses which were very clean and air conditioned and also the ferry that takes you to The Dockyard and Hamilton. We had dinner at the on property restaurant "Griffens" and reserved the "Chefts Table" which turned out to be one of the best dinning experiences we ever had. One last note, the entire staff representing the resort from the front desk, shuttle driver and Griffens were fantastic.

Room Tip: "B" level southeast exposure.

We've been owners for 17 years - two bedroom. Owners have been working hard for last several years to improve place and it shows. Staff is top-notch. Just got back from three week stay and experienced Hurricane Gonzalo - it passed dead center over island. Our congratulations to the Club staff for the excellent briefing before the hurricane. And even more impressive was Dee Dee Furbert, Reservations Manager. During the Eye of the Storm we stepped outside to marvel at the complete calm - there she was, flashlight in hand, moving from cottage to cottage making sure everything was OK. She runs a tight ship and we appreciate her greatly. Important to note: If you are caught in a hurricane sprinkled with tornados you need to be in Bermuda where they build their houses/cottages out of CEMENT and STONE. Our unit was undamaged although winds were around 150 for 3 hours before the Eye of Storm and 150 or more for 3 hours after Eye. Some roofs were partly damaged, boats were sunk, property walls damaged, and lots of shrub/tree damage. But the people on the island don't wait around for the government to bail them out - several days later everything was cleaned up or well on its way and the island was looking good. I'm impressed with Bermuda and I'm impressed with The St George's Club.

Room Tip: About 70 one or two bedroom cottages instead of rooms. Unlike other timeshares - more private and c...
