“Nicely restored”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2013

I've been to several of the forts on Bermuda, but this one is probably my favorite. It's nicely laid out for learning about the fort system in Bermuda and brushing up on your history.

I feel like you need to visit at least one fort if you're coming to Bermuda....this one is an easy way to see a fort and get the history in a consolidated place since not all of the forts are this large.

After you visit the fort you can go to the beach--several are within walking distance.

“An interesting fort”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013

I particularly liked the underground area that has been restored. This is where are the munitions were originally kept. For the whole fort, they have a combination of display areas plus mock-ups of what a room might have looked like. All-in-all, quite interesting.

“Interesting for naval buffs”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2012

Worth a couple of hours to visit, if you have them to spare. Great place to buy a map or two of the island.

One of the neatest things about going here is that you will pass over "the world's smallest drawbridge" on route. If going by bus, move to the front and have your camera ready!

“Very nicely restored.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Usually I breeze through these forts and just get some scenic pictures. This one was really really well done, very interesting information and displays. I spent alot of time reading through all of it. It is set up different than any other fort I have been to. We took a cab from St. George and then walked back. On either side of this fort are two really beautiful beaches. If you go right out of the driveway and walk along the road, you will come to another beach, then turn left and walk about 1/2 mile, you will see the unfinished church which is really beautiful. Keep walking back down the hill and you are back in St. George.

“OK, if you're in to artillery!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2012

Canons and more canons.... receptionist on entry talking on phone (private call) and didn't even look at us. It's cheap, but that's all. 30 mins tops.
