I fault Disney and seeing Europe for my disappointment in Town Hall Square. LOVE the means of punishing being open for photo shoots and hear tell that in the summer when they 'dunk the wench (or is that 'witch'?)' this square can be seen for what it once was ... the center of the world for the small town of St. George. It's been kept up nicely, but you really must put yourself back in time to appreciate Town Hall Square as one piece of the greater picture. If you've chance to be in Bermuda the first weekend of December, the National Trust Walkabout that starts in Town Hall Square is THE very best time to see it, as you feel that suddenly Bermuda has become 'small' and 'provincial' and 'neighborly'. The Christmas 'Walkabout' allows you to venture in to about 20 venues, many of which are otherwise closed, and it is perhaps my very favorite of the Bermudian events we've participated in since moving here 2010.
