“Great Train Ride”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2012

This is a very nice informative hour and a half train ride thast takes you to places that are too far to walk to. I highly suggest that you take this train as soon as you get to St. George. The ticket booth is on the right as soon as you get off the ferry.

“Really interesting!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2012

This is an excellent way to explore the area in little time. The hour long tour of the streets of St George takes you past all the beautiful sites of the area at a pace ideal for taking it in and taking plenty of photos. The tour provided some excellent information not only St George's attractions and buildings but also on Bermudian life in general. The tour guide was very friendly, narrated throughout the entire trip and shared some personal stories throughout the trip. Nice, relaxing way to see the town. Just sit back, relax and take it in.

“Simply Delightful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2012

Short version: great tour of the area for those who only have a short time to see the area - full of facts, history and info on St georges and Bermuda. Additionally, great for those with a bit more time to spend and want someone to point out all the things to do in the area. Long Version: Leaving from a spot close to King James Square (I think), called Ordnance Island I believe. A lovely tour. Took about an hour and meandered all through the somewhat cramped streets of St Georges quite easily. Chock-a-block full of great info on the history of Bermuda and more specifically St Georges. Especially great was the tour guide, who I see has been mentioned favourably below and for good reason. Made the experience personalised and recounted a number of personal experiences and insights, giving you more than just a superficial run through. In addition you get a nice overview of the area and a nod to the things worth visiting on foot should you have a bit of time to spend wandering round.

“Well-done tour of where Bermuda's history began!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 27, 2011

On a cruise with only three days in Bermuda we spent the first day in historical St. George's and were very glad we did. This hour-and-a-half reasonably priced tram tour travels the narrow streets of this charming, hilly old Bermudian town and a bit out of town to view scenic beaches. But what made it really special was our tourguide, Mr. LeClair (not sure of his name), a knowledgable and pleasant older gentleman, who provided an ongoing narration about his native town filled with historical facts and his personal experiences and was happy to answer questions about then-and-now St. George's and Bermudian life in general. The tour gave us a good overview, after which we visited sites on our own where we wanted to spend more time. We highly recommend it!

“Great ride, great tour guide”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2011

The Olde Towne Railway leaves from the Town Hall area of St. George's. Our tourguide, St. Clair, is a life long resident of the town and shared personal insights with us. The train ride lasts one hour and takes you through narrow streets, by a beach, past the school our tourguide attended, past the Unfinished Church and through several neighborhoods of this quaint old town. The tour would have been merely nice but not great if it weren't for the personal touch from St. Clair.
