On our seventh trip - so disappointed!! It certainly isn't the Bermuda that we fell in love with - what happened to Front Street?? We know Trimminghams had left, but so did so many other classy stores. If we wanted t-shirt stores, we could have gone to Wal-Mart!! KIng's Wharf... St. George's.... what happened to the beauty of Bermuda?? Our cruiseship docked at King's Wharf... we took the ferry to Hamilton, pink bus out to St. George's with a stop at our favorite Swizzle Inn for lunch (Perhaps the ONLY thing on the island that hasn't changed)... took the ferry back to the Wharf. One day at Horseshoe Bay... a swim at Snorkle Bay... Never in my life did I think that I'd ever say that I wouldn't return to our favorite island. The beauty of a beautiful island has disappeared!!

My wife and I loved our trip to Bermuda. We went a little late in the season so the weather was hit or miss, but it was a lot cheaper and there were almost no crouds. We took an NCL cruise from Boston, it was the last sailing of the Dream. We found a ton of sea glass and loved the walks along the beaches.

This was my first trip to Bermuda, and I must say a few things first. Don't plan on doing any bargain shopping at this destination. Everything is overpriced except for the sights. Beautiful beaches and the Caves were reasonable and breathtaking. Unfortunately, there was rain much of the time we visited. You can't go wrong if you are taking a cruise ship because you don't have to worry about food or hotel expenses killing you. Definitely the way to visit this beautiful tourist trap. The people were all very nice and the public transportation was perhaps the most convenient part of the trip. Stay away from Taxis if you can, they are high priced, but will give you a nice tour most of the time if you are interested in dropping 100 dollars. Overall, I think I need to go back informed this time and give it a fair chance. Maybe someday.

I had never been to Bermuda, and after two weeks there, I'm not sure I'd jump to go back any time soon. There are so many other places I'd go first before returning. We stated in St. George's (the historic part of the island). The food was ok to bad and the kicker was it was all so expensive. I've been to a number of islands (Cuacao, St. John, Puerto Rico) and this was disappointing. We even went to one restaurant, the Carriage House I think it was called, where they serves boxed mashed potatoes with my $32 steak meal. Really?

Positive: The great restaurants we enjoyed: Gibbs Hill Lighthouse (Southhampton Parish) which was a bit pricey, but a magnificent view and good food, Bistro J (Hamilton) was a tasteful small menu that changes daily -- order by 1-3 courses no more than $21 per person for an app, entree and dessert, Blackbeard's (the beach bar in St. George's affiliated with St. George's Club) made a great lunch. Best band for the buck too with a $12 wahoo sandwich.

We also felt we were taken advantage of by the woman who sold us our bus/ferry passes. We ended up spending $200 more than we should have because we weren't told about the books of tickets -- only the monthly pass, then the 2 or 3 day pass. That doesn't encourage a tourist to want to return, that's for sure.

On the up side, the beaches were stunning. Beautiful water, great breezes. Lovely surroundings. We had time to relax, read 4 books and enjoy the sun.

Also the museums and rich history were wonderful -- Tucker House, the Masterworks Art Museum, Fort St. Catherine etc.
