We were in Bermuda on a cruise and only had one day in which to go snorkeling. We booked a trip with Sonny prior to our arrival. Sonny docks his boat at King's Wharf - Dockyard where the cruise ships are so you can walk to meet him. We are avid snorkelers and liked the fact that it was a small boat with only a few passengers, as well as being advertised for experienced snorkelers. Sonny advertises that weather permitting he goes to the wrecks, otherwise he goes to a closer off shore site. Unfortunately, on the day we were to go, the seas were rough and the weather was windy with threats of rain. Sonny told us that the usual closer shore sites that he normally goes to would not be good either. He likes to take you to places that have few people and are better than average for good snorkeling. He was planning on canceling the trip rather than giving us a mediocre experience. However, being our only day to snorkel, we said that we didn't mind going to a place that wasn't top on his list!!!! We have snorkeled a lot over 30 years and have learned that any day snorkeling is better than not going at all. That being said, we convinced Sonny to take us someplace even if it wasn't the best!!! The place he chose did not disappoint us. We spent an hour snorkeling an area that had some beautiful vibrant colored coral as well as some great fish!!! He even found us some large lobsters hiding beneath the rocks. I would highly recommend taking a snorkeling trip with Sonny when you are visiting Bermuda. Hopefully, when we return next year, the weather will be in our favor, and we will make the trip to the wreck with Sonny.
