We visited Charlie's Bar on 18th Oct with friends. Lets clear a few things up. Yes, this IS in the red light area and is better visited in the afternoon or early evening. The street where the bar is situated is fine however a few streets either side are less welcoming for 'family' visitors.
Back to our visit, the beer was cold, good & inexpensive. We did not really have any idea's on dining that evening so just told the guys to bring some bar snacks out. WOW !!, if these were snacks the full menu will be outstanding, we had the signature king prawns (shrimp for our US cousins), conch, pork, croquet's and the dishes kept coming !!
The decor is unlike any other on the island with many visitors leaving trinkets which adorn the walls & ceiling. The bar is currently under the guidance of the families third generation 'Charlie' with the forth generation running around and playing when we visited !!
Spent a very enjoyable few hours here and would return.
