“beach areas”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2013

We loved the beautiful beach the sand is so white and kept so clean. There are activites you can do like scuba, snorkeling,
or just enjoy the water and take a swim.

“World-class beaches, if a bit crowded”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2013

Snow-white sand beaches with clear azure skies are what you can expect from a visit to Palm Beach. However, due to the closeness of hotels, it is also crowded. But if you do not mind the crowds, and are looking for plenty of water sport opportunities, then this is the place. If you have small kids, then this is not the best choice, as the waves can be a bit high. A better choice would be Baby Beach in San Nicolas, which is very sheltered, and no less beautiful. If you are not concerned about the waves, and are looking for beauty and fewer crowds, try Eagle Beach. Enjoy!

“Nice Beach With Plenty of Water Sports”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013

Palm Beach is a nice beach. It's a bit crowded and not as clean as Eagle Beach. It's best feature is its convenient location right behind the high rise resorts

“Nice but crowded”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013

In other parts of the island the wateris better and clearer . For example Baby Beach. This area is a cluster of tourists that wait in line beginning at 3pm to reserve their huts for the next day. It was like a gas line going around the building. People take their huts too seriously. If they go down the beach a little bit farther especially towards the Lighthouse area the beaches are much better, much less crowded and more relaxed.

“A walkable beach but some debris washes up”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013

I think the trash gets dumped and washes up on shore. It makes me queasy about swimming in the sea.
Unfortunately I think this is true of all the beaches in Aruba.
Thankfully , the Marriott"s beach is not as crowded as some of the beaches. It is in a line of hotels so walking by some of the other hotels is like walking in NYC at rush hour.
I did not like having to purchase a hut on the beach or being there at dawn but it is a business.
