Great rooms and staff! Very clean and beautiful. The outdoor pools and beach are great too. I recommend it! There is even a restaurant on site :) Good for kids too! Quiet and relaxing! Great stay.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2014

We stayed here with our 2 and 4 year old the first week in March. Its right on the beach and only about a 5 min drive to the Hi Rise area and about 3 mins to the Super Food grocery store. The resort is nicely landscaped and very clean. The Beach is big and beautiful with white sand and turquoise water. The waves were very rough the week we were there, not sure if it is always like that. The beach huts are plentiful, but they are all reserved early (before 9am) and very close together. There is a resort policy that you cant reserve for more than 2 hours with out showing up, but like every other resort with this type of policy its not enforced at all, some huts that were reserved never had anyone show up before we would leave for the kids naps at 1pm. Chairs in the sun werent hard to find though.

The pool area is nice. Like the beach the huts are all reserved early. The kiddie pool is good and the kids loved playing in it. Chairs in the sun are available. The Pool bar has Happy Hours (2 for 1) at 12-1, 4-6 and 9-10. They dont have a drink menu.... ?!?!?! Why????? I pretty much ordered the few amount of drinks that I know off the top of my head. The drinks were around $8-9. They were usually pretty good. We ate lunch there once and the quesadilla was very good. Never ate at Riccardos for dinner.

The rooms are very clean, the cleaning people here do a great job. The beds were very comfortable and the dual AC control (1 in bedroom and 1 in living area) was nice and kept the place cool. The balconies were spacious, with nice chairs and table. It seems every room has a great view of the ocean and pool.

The service here isnt great. Its a timeshare place and it felt like they were there to check you in and out and that is it. They werent there to make us feel relaxed and make our vacation better. They never told us any information about what the resort had to offer and outside of the cleaning ladies, no one smiled and greeted us. So you know, they have some planned activities for kids and a playground by the beach. One thing that I cant stand is when a hotels lists how much they are going to charge you for everything that isnt bolted down and recommends that you go through and count every little thing when you get there. Really??? I have to count every clothes hanger, plate, cup, bowl, every piece of silverware, pots, pans, towels, face cloths, dish rags, etc; for the first couple of hours I am there? Have faith that your guests and members are going to be honest.

The only other thing is the parking lot. The one in front of the ABC is only about 15 spots. I questioned the front desk about it and all they said was "Its first come first served." So I am on my own to find other parking. I dont know if it was allowed but I was able to find a spot or 2 open in the lot in front of the Casa Del Mar next door when the ABC lot was full.

So overall the Aruba Beach Club was a nice and clean resort with a great location, nice beach and pool area, great cleaning people and adequate customer service.

We ended up here for one night after our flight was canceled. The staff were extremely accommodating in all of our needs. Our room was spacious and we had a balcony overlooking the pool area. We didn't utilize it but our room was equipped with a lovely kitchenette with dining area which would definitely come in handy on a more extended stay. Overall great place to stay.

We love ABC! We have stayed there four times in the last six years or so. Its very quiet and relaxing. The pool is nice, the bar is cute. If you're looking for a relaxing low key vacation, this is the place for you.

For night life, the Alhambra Casino is right across the street, along with stores and Fusion, the AMAZING martini bar. I will always stay at ABC when we are in Aruba.

Even been a low rise hotel you can enjoy, a quiet and all the beach around noord area. I went there with 3 friends and stayed in Two bedroom suite and we felt comfortable inside also your the services provides by the front desk enough information and help us to find fun places and some tours companies.

This is my second visit to this hotel and i will come back to the carnivals.

Room Tip: Make your booking with time, and ask first all the details and they will give enough information.

I've been to ABC many times, it is my home away from home. Have travelled extensively, Aruba is the best. The weather, the food, the beaches and the friends made and reunited every year. The staff at every turn are all equally friendly and helpful.

Aruba Beach Club is in the low rise section of Aruba, right on the beach across the street from the Alhambra Casino and shopping complex which is part of the Divi resorts. It was about a 0 minute drive from the airport in heavy Saturday traffic. It is an older, low rise building which shares a lobby and facilities with the adjacent Casa Del Mar.

Check in was efficient and uneventful. We were assigned Unit 110 on the ground floor which faced the Casa del Mar pool, and was near the back of the resort close to the Casa del Mar lobby. The resorts are small enough that this was not a problem.

The unit was older, and furnishings were clean but uneventful. Our studio unit was adequate for 2 adults, but it would be crowded for more in the unit. It was glorified hotel room, with 2 queen beds, a flat screen tv, dresser, small 4 person dining table with chairs, one sitting chair, and partial kitchen with small sink, cooktop, coffee maker, full size refrigerator and microwave. The bathroom was a bit dated, no separate dressing area, single sink, and only a decent sized walk-in shower, but no tub.

ABC has a good beachfront restaurant, Ricardo's, where we had one dinner and breakfast. The adjacent Casa del Mar had a similar, slightly larger beachfront restaurant, Matthews, which we also enjoyed.

The beach, pools and weather are highlights here, as well as the exceptionally friendly staff, which is common in Aruba.

We used the spa and enjoyed excellent, reasonably priced massages.

As is common in many resorts, guests put belongings on loungers at the beach and pool which have palapas for sun protection early in the morning, so late sleepers will be subject to the deep southern Caribbean sun.

The Casa del Mar and ABC share facilities, and your room charge at ABC is accepted at the Casa del Mar restaurant.

We did not use the tennis courts, or the rental car concession or tour desk at Casa del Mar.

The location of this resort is its best feature, being within walking distance of many other resorts and restaurants, and a short ride to the high rise area and downtown Orangestad. The Alhambra shopping plaza, with several shops and restaurants, a small food market, a Subway and Baskin Robbins, across the street, is a great amenity for this resort.

In addition to dinner on site, we dined at Rembrandts, Wacky Wahoo and White Modern in Palm Beach, as well as Pizza Bob's located a few hundred yards from ABC, and the French Steakhouse at the adjacent Manchebo Resort. Dining in Aruba is expensive, compared to other Carribean islands we've visited.

ABC and to a lesser extent Casa del Mar, host an older crowd. ABC was the first time share in the Caribbean and wears its age fairly well. There do not appear to be many RCI exchanges here, and many owners we met have been coming for years and own multiple weeks.

We enjoyed Aruba (this was our second visit) and ABC enough that we bought a unit for future visits, but a one bedroom this time, right on the beach. So we will be back.

There is little nightlife at the resort, and given the small size of the units, ABC might not be right for families to share a unit, or for singles. But it was just right for this boomer couple.
